I am unable to print a banner either created or using a template.

When I click on print, the window that comes up does not allow me to specify printing the whole project or a page. Then when I click the print button, I might get part of page 2 or a blank sheet.

SOURCE: Re-downloaded The Print Shop and it looks like it

has it worked before since you had the hard drive replaced?

if so do a system restore back to the last point it worked

otherwise go to controll panel and add and remove programs then uninstall the program

restart your computer and then re-install the program then it should work as long as you have it working on your other computer if you re-install it there should be no problem

let me know in more detail what is going on

it sounds like it has not installed properly so uninstall it then install again

also because you have a new hard drive you dont have a new computer

Word 2010 doc will not print. Will print with Wordpad.

Microsoft support describes several things to try. After checking to see if any new blank document you create could print or not, the next possibility is to rename the normal.dotm file that may be necessary to resolve this problem.

Procedure to check:

"Microsoft Windows 7
  1. Quit Word.
  2. Click the Start button.
  3. In the Search Programs and Files box, type Normal.dot or Normal.dotm depending on your version of Word.
  4. For each occurrence of the Normal.dot or Normal.dotm template that you find, rename it Normal.old. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Normal.
    2. On the File menu, click Rename.
    3. Type Normal.old, and then press ENTER.
You can now print new documents that are created from the new global (blank document) template (Normal.dot). However, existing documents that were created by means of your old Normal.dot file may not print. If this is the case, go to the "Print the problem document" section to resolve problems with these documents.

If you cannot print this new document, there may be a problem that prevents Word from printing. If this is the case, go to the "Print the problem document" section.

Determine if the problem documents were created from the same custom template You may still not be able to print particular Word documents. Examine the problem documents to determine if they were created from the same custom template. To determine which template created the problem document, follow these steps:

Word 2010
  1. Open a document that you cannot print.
  2. On the Developer tab, click Document Template in the Templates section.
  3. On the Templates tab, look in the Document template box."

How do i post an away message

  • After you create the automatic reply message and set up the filter, you must leave your computer running and Outlook open in order for the message to work.
  • using the method below to set a rule that sends reply messages to all senders except those who are posting to a LISTSERV list. This prevents reply messages from being sent to everyone on a list.
  • Outlook's Out of Office Assistant tool is another option for setting an automatic reply message; however, you cannot set rules for specific mail, such as LISTSERV lists.
  • If setting a rule is not necessary, instructions on using the Out of Office Assistant can be found on Microsoft's How to Use the Out of Office Assistant in Outlook Web page.
To create and use an automatic reply message:
  1. Create an away message.
    • In 2007, at the top left of the window, click the New button.
    1. In the body of the message, type the away message you want to use.
    2. Save the message.

How do I change the size of the print on the label

Using the software that came with it modify the font settings.
Changing the Default Font Settings in DYMO Label Software Answer 299 ' Applies To DYMO ' Published 07/20/2005 10:16 AM EDT ' Updated 08/31/2010 05:05 PM EDTHow do I change the default font settings in the DYMO Label Software (DLS)?

Font settings can be adjusted for individual label templates and for the DLS application. Please note, changing the font settings for the DLS application will only affect the creation of new label templates. It does not change the font settings of any previously created and saved label templates.

Changing the Default Font Settings for Individual Label Templates in DLS

  1. Open DLS.
  2. In DLS, click and highlight the text on the label template.
  3. The tool bar above the label template allows you to change various font and justification settings. To change font type and font size you must click on the Font Settings icon: f_f.jpg
  4. Make the necessary changes to the font settings. The Sample field indicates how the text will appear on the label. Please note, the text will automatically shrink to fit if you select a font size that is too large for the address or text object on the label to accommodate.
  5. Click OK after making the necessary changes.
  6. Save the label template. Click on the File menu in DLS and select either Save or Save As. Selecting Save will save the label template with its existing name. Selecting Save As will allow you to enter a new name and create a new label template.

Novell environments Banner pages can be sent to the printer in several different ways in a Novell environment. The following instructions detail several ways to disable the banner page. NOTE: Banner pages can also be sent from the HP Jetdirect device itself. This page can be enabled and disabled through a telnet session to the HP Jetdirect device. The telnet banner will only print in an lpd/unix ® environment. Novell's Capture Command To disable a banner page using a Novell DOS capture command at a system prompt, type the following commands: capture L=x Q=queuename NFF NB NT TI=x where:
  • L = x -- The value of x would be 1, 2 or 3 depending on the lpt port being used.
  • Q = queuename - The value of the queuename would be the Novell queue setup for this printer.
  • NFF -- No form feed.
  • NB -- No Banner.
  • NT -- No Tabs
  • TI = x -- The value of x would be the timeout amount in seconds. NOTE: If the client workstation is restarted, and if a capture command is part of a login script that is being used, these settings will be reset.
