You should have a remote control to change channels.
If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

My tv needs to be on channel 4 but I can't change the channel it's stuck on channel 3 what should I do

Why can you not change the channel? The only way to change channels is either on the TV directly, or from the remote. If neither work then you may need to get a new remote, or a new TV.

TV will not display picture or sound except for 1 station which appears to be 440. I can't change the channel either at the dials or remote. The display says EAS.

DONT USE the remote that came with your TV

use the buttons on the box to change the channel. did the channel change?

usually when someone only has one channel its because they are changing the tv channel not the cable box channel

think of it like this:
the TV is a monitor and should always be on the same channel (3, 4, hdmi, or whatever) its actually the box that tunes and the tv always stays on the same channel.

so if you change the tv channel you are no longer watching the output of the cable box.

USE the remote supplied by your cable provider

I can't seem to change the channel from Channel 2 to 3 or 4. I don't have the remote. I am trying to hook it up to the VCR, but the VCR requires channel 3 or 4. Please help.

I have a Sony 27" TV. I tried the same thing on mine. I couldn't change the channel either. You will have to buy a cheap universal remote that will have a code on it for your TV.

Getting a specific channel on the TV without using a remote

Usually if you go into the setup menu, there is an option to allow you to either "scan" for a channel, or "input" a channel. In this case, select "input" and see if the TV will allow you to press the up and down channel buttons and go to a specific channel. If so, when you get to channel 4, press the "add this channel" option (or whatever the menu option says) and you should then be able to go to channel 4 using the buttons on the front without skipping over it.

We have DirecTV and is is on channel 4. My

Use the tv remote to put the tv on ch 4. Use the direct tv then to select channel of the direct tv box. The box is broadcasting to the tv on ch 4. Also check that tv is on correct input . Again use the Panasonic remote to select correct input. If this does not work call direct tv for assistance.

I have an shd-3010 with the remote and the channel button doesn't work nor do the buttons to change the station on the remote. Yet the power button works as does the volume buttons

Here is the solution. I have had this problem for 2 or 3 YEARS... (I finally gave up and just changed the channel manually).

The solution is exceedingly simple. You'll want to punch yourself (or at least, I did... :-P )

Press Menu. Press Menu. Press Menu (3 times total)
THEN, scroll down to "Channel Fix"

It will say either "3" or "4." What this does is it makes it so that your HDTV is always on channel 3 (or 4) when you turn on the device... AND it apparently disables the channel functions of the remote control, for some inexplicable reason.

All you have to do is change this setting from "3" or "4" to --> "OFF"

You will now have full channel and button control.

Enjoy! <(^_^<)(^'.'^)(>^_^)>

Can't change output on DVD from channel 3 to 4

Unfortunately, Broksonic's website doesn't offer manual downloads. But product information for the 810C and 810D both say the output is channel 3/4 switchable. So if there isn't a rear panel switch (or one hiding somewhere else on the unit), it must be through a setup menu via the remote control. If you have the remote it shouldn't be too much trouble to experiment with the options until you find the right menu. If you didn't get the remote along with the unit, you are probably going to have to live with whatever channel it's on already.
