Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
NB: Please read and understand well, the instructions to enter the service mode, before you begin. Be very careful. Note how to "EXIT" the service mode; after entering and adjusting data. This is very important.

Where do i find INPUT SELECTon zenith tv
Hello,
Most tv's have a physical button on the front and it will either be labeled input or source-source select. If thats not the case on your tv, look for a menu button and try to navigate through the tv menus until you find tv input or source select. If that still does not work, you can use your dish 500 remote and if you already use that to turn the tv on and adjust volume, you can probably use it to change the input. To do this, select the tv mode on your dish 500 remote, and then press the source or input button until you get to where you need to be. Once thats done, make sure you return your remote to sat mode or you will not be able to control the dish reciever. Hope this was helpfull to you.
Thanks
Tv is dark
looking on the back of ur tv near the cable input jack there might be an area where u can adjust the brightness on the flyback transformer. if there isn't you will have to remove the back of the tv and adjust it this way. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE BRIGHTNESS KNOB ON THE FLYBACK, CAUSE YOU MAY BE SHOCKED. so please be careful.
Remote problem
seems that the on/off button on the remote may be bad. when pressing this button look and see if the remote is lighten up indicating its working. if this button does not light up, but when changing the channel or volume it does, then the on/off button is bad.
I need to program without a remote. I have cable,
if the tv does not have a menu function on the front of it then it is impossible. you will have to buy the original remote offline somewhere. you may try an universal remote, but can't guarantee this will work.
White Lines and Bright Screen
I believe you have a shorted transistor on the crt board on the back of the picture tube which should be Q5104. Let me tell you my experience with these Zenith's The original problem is the picture tube shorting out and caused this problem. If you replace the transistor the same problem could arise again because of the tube and it could even knock out the main board power supply. I have seen this happen. And I have put in the transistor and no problem. You can get one at the Radio Shack by taking the bad one out and get them to cross reference it for you. All Zenith transistors have a prefix number (not on the transistor) which is 121- (with the dash!) and the number on the transistor The new one must go back in the way it came out! I recommend someone with electronic soldering and desoldering experience. Hope this helps
My zenith CD/DVD duplicator LCD light on but no ready
If the LCD light on your Zenith CD/DVD duplicator is on but it is not showing as "ready," it is possible that there is an issue with the duplicator's internal components or settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
Check the disc trays: Make sure that all of the disc trays are closed properly and that there are no discs stuck inside the duplicator. If a tray is open or a disc is stuck, the duplicator will not be able to operate properly.
Check the power source: Make sure that the duplicator is plugged into a working power source and that the power cable is securely connected to the duplicator. If the power source is not providing enough power, the duplicator may not be able to operate.
Check the settings: Check the duplicator's settings to ensure that it is set up correctly for the type of disc you are trying to duplicate. For example, if you are trying to duplicate a DVD, make sure that the duplicator is set to duplicate DVDs and not CDs.
Reset the duplicator: Try resetting the duplicator by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues with the duplicator's internal components.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a more serious issue with the duplicator's hardware or software. In this case, it may be best to contact Zenith customer support or a professional technician for further assistance.
