If it is no longer available why not read the temperature rating on your dead fuse and replace the fuse only?

I need to replace my Krups 453 Thermo fuse (ms-0061607). Where can I find one or is there a replacement?

Many times the Thermal (not Thermo) fuse is soldered in line with silver solder and unless you have the ability to cut the old one out and replace it, the cost would be greater than a replacement coffee maker.

If NO LIGHTS come on and not a single thing operates, I too would say that it's most probably the THERMAL SWITCH, activated when the motor gets too hot and is in danger of damage. A very cheap electronic device, quick and easy to remove and replace.

Krups km406 will not brew coffee

could be clogged pump or bad pump, I have also seen where you need to let the water reach a certain temp. before it will begin to brew

Krups KM7000 grinds but won't brew, warming plate no heat. Is this repairable, (perhaps a fuse?) or is it junk. Bought the machine in March 2008

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heating on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7000 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at [email protected].

I have a Krups GVX1 burr coffe grinder. The grinder slowed and stopped grinding despite the fact the list was on indicating it was getting power and all of the safety switches were properly depressed. The...

You will have to disassenble the grinder by removing the screws from the bottom of the grinder. You should be able to get to the thermal fuse once you gain access to the insides.

Well worth attempting the repair if you have the replacement thermal fuse needed and can handle a soldering iron to unsolder and soldering needed to remove and replace the failed part.

The thermal fuse isn't like a normal glass tube automotive fuse, but you should be able to get a replacement one from Radio Shack, if you can't get one from the manufacturer.

Hope this helps you get it fixed and best regards!

Dead krups waffle iron

That is probably a thermal fuse. It is designed to open and stop heaters from working incase of over heat condition.

Meaning if you did not leave the appliance on too long with nothiung in it, the thermostat may be not opening at correct temp or the fuse was in a place where it got over heated or the fuse was weak.

You can replace it 1 time see if it worked ok but if it goes out again and you didn't see anything this time best replace it. Especially if under $50.00. Thermostat will probably run 1/2 of that. Thermal fuse 3 to 10. Try a heating AC parts store and take the old party with you.

If this helps you please help me by rating me as high as you can. Thanks for using fix ya.
