Reactivating Spa after idle. refilled, got a DR code. system cycled, blower functioned, and then system stalled with 1888 error code. Found pump had frozen up. Replaced it. No change. I hear two clicks from relays in control box when power applied.

Hello there, what i think is the problem with your unit is the control board. The control board is usually responsible for the general functions of the unit. If the control board has a minor problem it would affect the entire units functionality. Although the problem should be minute and repairable so you wont need to replace the entire board which could be very expensive. this is evident from the unit still coming on and starting the pump. Simply get the entire board taken and and checked for the irregularities on the board.
hope this solution has been helpful?

It is possible that the board is bad. A loose connection orlow voltage issue may also cause this problem to occur. If the voltages arewithin the acceptable rand and all connection are tight then remove any accessoryequipment and restart the unit to see if the problem continues. If it does thena new board will probably resolve the issue.

SOURCE: Spa pumps are running but display is not lit and nothing I touch on the controls work
This means your top side control is dead, the spa will continue to operate itself in an economy/maintenance mode to prevent damage.
