You'll need to buy the rest of the items. The needles are probably the easiest since those are consumables. You need 2 Singer #2022 needles. The originals were 90/14 needles; 80/11 needles are also available. If you can't find the 2022 needles, get the Singer 2020. The 2020 needles are the common needle for home sewing machines; you'll find them in any sewing machine needle sale display. Here's a link for the 2022 90/14 needles: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/serger-needles-singer-2022.aspx . I found the replacement spreader here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/looper-spreader-singer-550547.aspx . Other parts for the 14SH764 are here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-14sh764-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=1 . The flat blade screwdriver and the tweezers can be replaced with any that are the same size. Most craft stores with sewing machine supplies will probably have the right size tweezers and the screwdriver. (The screwdriver may be cheaper at a hardware store.)
I was hoping to find a video tutorial online for you, but no luck. I did find written instructions with photos regarding using a sewing machine overcast stitch as a serger. This is the link: https://doitbetteryourself.club/how-to-overcast-stitch/
Apparently, the Singer 5511 Scholastic isn't a true serger.

Serger needles are different from regular sewing machine needles, but like sewing machine needles, they are generic. That means that if you buy a serger needle, it should fit most sergers from any manufacturer.
My favorite manufacturer is Organ; they've been in business for a long time and manufacture for commercial and home machines and sergers and they're quite inexpensive.
