WONT PICK UP PAPER FROM ADF. HAVE TO PUSH THE PAPER IN SO ROLLERS CAN GRAB PAPER.WHAT CAN I DO?

I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners.

There would have been an extra pad in the original box that the scanner came in. If you no longer have this pad, you can order the maintenance kit here. This kit will also include the necessary components to clean the feed rollers.

If the feed rollers are worn out, you will need to have the scanner serviced.

The rollers and retard pad need replaced.
The rollers are self explanitory, the retard pad is so named to retard the feed of multiple sheets of paper.
That is your problem.

Documate error 8

Hello.


I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners.

E8 is a Paper Jam error that could be caused by:
- paper crumpling during scan.
- paper is multi-feeding all at once instead of feeding separate.
- scanner continuously tries to feed after paper has fed through.


if the paper is crumpling during the scan, make sure the inside of the scanner is clear of any obstructions. use the paper guides in the ADF tray to keep the paper straight when feeding in.

if the paper is multifeeding while scanning, fan out the pages before inserting them into the scanner. if problem persists, try cleaning the rollers with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth.

if scanner tries to continually feed after the paper feeds through, the ADF tray will need to be reseated. open the scanner and remove the ADF tray at the top. line up the 4 keys at the bottom of the tray with the 4 corresponding key slots inside the scanner. push the tray back until it clicks into place.

I need the drive gear for the adf on a xerox documate 636,its the only gear when you open the [email protected]

I have a xerox documate 510 scanner I can not scan more than one page at a time through the feeder

Clean the rubber rollers with Iso Propyl Alcohol. If worn out replace them. Fan the papers so that they are not sticky. This should work.

No paper message for ADF

I called Xerox and the technician told me the ADF cable was loose. I went home readjusted the ADF cable and now it works like a champ.

Documate 510 Roller Pad Assembly

Hi, I don't know if it's permissible to advertise but we currently sell the assembly for the Xerox Documate scanners. As far as I know the scanner's discontinued, and the pads are getting pricey so consider how much longer you want to wait before replacing the scanner.

Document not moving all the way thru ADF.

The roller and retard pad need replaced. They are simply worn.
