You might have pressed the AV selector botton on the side panel of the TV. It works as a toggle type switch. Press on once will select the TV input, and for an other press will come back to AV and so on.
Locate that switch you have pressed earlier, and press it once more, to select the input to TV.

I need to know how to change modes without controller when I'm using a dvd

Without a remote controller, you may have limited options to change modes on your Apex digital TV. However, you may be able to change the mode by using the buttons on the TV itself.
Here are some general steps you can try:
  1. Turn on your TV and make sure your DVD player is connected to it.
  2. Look for the "Menu" button on the TV and press it.
  3. Navigate through the menu options using the arrow buttons on the TV until you find "Input" or "Source."
  4. Press the "Enter" button to select the input/source option.
  5. Use the arrow buttons to select the input/source that corresponds to your DVD player.
  6. Press the "Enter" button to confirm the selection.
  7. Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu.
Note that the specific steps may vary depending on the model of your Apex TV. You may also consult the user manual for your TV for more information on changing modes without a remote controller.

Cannot find eject button or what to use to eject DVD from bauhn atv-32hdc1n. Lost the manual first time to use DVD and now cannot get it out. Hope you can help

On page v of the manual (if you had one), under the heading "DVD Mode", the first item in the list is an up-arrow symbol, with "Press to eject the disc" next to it.

That's simple enough, IF you have a user guide. But if you don't, and you weren't familiar with standard symbology for these types of buttons, you would be stumped by the moronic design of the remote control.

The up-arrow button is on the top row of the Remote Control buttons, next to the red Standby button. It's a standard Eject symbol, but not only did they just assume you'd know that, they obfuscated the situation further by marking it as "TV/Radio". So if you weren't familiar with the symbology, you certainly wouldn't be looking for something marked TV/Radio to eject a DVD.

But there's another catch: The up-arrow/eject button will only work if your Source is set to DVD. If for any reason you switched away from the DVD before wanting to eject it, you would find that the Eject button no longer works. You have to switch back to Source = DVD, then press the eject button.

IMO, there is no excuse for a Remote Control design that can't be figured out without the manual.
