What combination buttons on hathway remote would I have to press to get picture on topfield 4000 satellite receiver.

I was able to use a regular mini USB cable with no problem. If you do the firmware update and the radio locks up, you can press the volume button and enter button at the same time to reset the stuck radio.

Tht is a bad one,the only way to fix this,use a boot start up disc,
otherwise a program reload is the only way to fix this...horst in aussy land....

I would check to see if the "Mute" button was accidently pressed when your daughter sat on the remote. If not, unplug the receiver from your electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire the satellite signal. After the picture returns, see if you are getting audio. I hope this helps.

just bought a Topfield trf-2460 PVR and I have got everything working except the remote control (that came with pvr) sound funtion. I can record and playback with the audio working fine but even after setting the TF remote control to work on the TV funtion, it just doesn't like it, except for the mute button, that and the off function. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Joe

Look for a reset button. I had a problem with my MP3 player, where it wouldn't start at all. Pressed the reset button and off it went.

When it's rebooting, on the first blue screen press 02468 on the remote. This will force a software update. If you have trouble getting it enter at the right time or you just want to make sure, just keep pressing 02468 until it goes to the update. It won't hurt any thing. Hope this helps.

I have never seen a remote sensor that failed, (but I guess that it does happen). If its not the priginal remote, I suspect that you are not properly programming it. anyway, I would first take out the batteries, clean inside the remote, and put new batteries. If that doesn't work, I would purcahse a cheap universal remote (I buy them for about $5) and try that. If this does not correct the problem, you may need to call for service.
