no info generic answer on most remove rear cover panel to access trans axle or axle --for mid size plug lower section under linkage --small ones no service port ------on larger with a transmission plug on side

There are two designs of these drains. One has a small set screw that has to be loosened to allow the plug to be removed. The other has a threaded post. By closing the drain plug and then turning it counter clockwise the post will unscrew and the drain plug will lift out. Hope this helps.

if not leaking,leave it alone,to drain,just disconnect bottom hose to drain,I never use drain plug,too slow.If it's a stock drain plug,then you will need to call dealer and ask for parts.

remove the fill plug before you do anything. If you can not remove the fill plug there is no reason to remove the drain plug since you will not be able to fill the transmission once the fluid is drained out.

Once the fill plug is out, remove the drain plug. Let oil drain into a drain pain. Reinstall the drain plug. Fill the transmission with the appropriate fluid until the fluid starts to drain from the fill hole. Reinstall the fill plug. Your good to go.

Generally the drains that are controlled from the
OVER-FLOW do indeed have a rod that goes down
from the face of the overflow... which lifts (opens)
the drain by lifting a hollow (typically plastic) sleeve
from in front of the outflow of the drain...

It is hollow to allow the OVERFLOW to work at all times.

The version you seem to have... WOULD have a
bellows like device that pushes on a plug lever...

More complex... but I seriously believe both may be
serviced through the OVERFLOW
(will attach a drawing below)...

OBVIOUSLY you will want to block the drain before rolling & dropping screws in, on & around the drain HOLE...

Once you see the diagram of the drain MECHANISM...
you will be able to see that jamming in a coat-hanger
was a terrible idea.

You can still most likely remove and repair the
mechanism ... (from the over-flow)

You are looking at buying a new one and installing the entire drain from the bottom (hopefully).

Assuming the drain plug is the pop-up type where you pull a small rod up behind the faucet, you can try the following:
In the cabinet below the sink you will see the rod come down that operates the sink drain plug. There is a horizontal rod connected to this that goes into the drain line with a small round cap. Unscrew this cap and pull the rod out. The drain plug should come up freely from the drain. After cleaning reinsert the drain plug and be sure the horizontal rod goes into the drain and through the hole at the bottom of the drain plug shaft. Seat the round ball from the horizontal shaft into the drain line and tighten the round cap to hold the horizontal rod in the drain.

Could you cut off the brush handle & dismantle the P trap under the sink?

3 possibilities for a no drain...1 the unit has an extended drain hose and the coupling between the factory hose and the extended hose is plugged.
2 the drain is plugged inside the unit at the drain outlet, 3 the drain pump has failed. not likely the pump, usually a plugged drain line, so check the drain hose first to see if it is plugged.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 and to fix this problem I removed the drain plug being careful not to damage the plastic housing. I drilled through the center of the drain plug so that I would not have to use force to get it out and crack the plastic housing. After you get it out you will see that there is a rubber washer that is used to seal the drain. NAPA sells a drain plug that will work to replace the stock plug. The part #605-1278 comes on a card that says for Ford/GM. but it worked perfectly for me.

You can remove the drain plug in the bottom on the radiator.
You can remove the lower radiator hose. Since the vehicle is 10 years old you may want to inspect the hoses for replacement anyway.

) Make sure the vehicle is cool.
) Slightly loosen the radiator cap to release any pressure.
) Re-tighten the radiator cap.
) Place a suitable container under the drain point.
) open the drain.
) Re-loosen the radiator cap again.
) Allow to drain.
) REPLACE THE DRAIN PLUG.
* At this point the radiator can be fill with water and a radiator cleaning agent- run the engine - allow to warm up.
* Re-drain the radiator - .
) REPLACE THE DRAIN PLUG.
) Refill the radiator with water/anti-freeze.
) Dispose of waste fluid according to the local regulations. Some city dumps will accept it. Some parts stores may accept it. Do not pour down the drain or dump on the ground.
