try reseting ur router then connecting

re-installed the driver then you check your firewall is enable or what is enable then disable then you check your proxy sever disable it then you check the wireless zero confiuration in the manage the computer then you coonect it then you get it

i asssume that you have connected the ethernet port of the modem to the wan port of the router. if that would be the case, yes you need to connect the computer to the lan port of the router to get internet access. that it if you want your computer to be directly connected to the router. but if you're planning to connect wirelessly, you just need to make sure that your router and computer have a wireless capability and your computer.

Have you installed the driver cd?
it may not work without installation
Yo could get a card reader so the memory card will coonect directly to the computer
