SOURCE: Denon AVR-887 and Wii

I'm dealing with the very same frustration. Best I can tell, the problem with my setup is that this model (avr-887) can't pass component video input out through HDMI. Can anyone confirm that?
Prior to setting up the Wii, I'd only been using a single HDMI output from the denon to my tv/monitor.
The only solution I've found is to add a component video output to the monitor -- which is unfortunate. I'd much rather have only the single HDMI out.
Would love to hear if there is a way to set this up without having to add the additional component output...

SOURCE: What to use for Audio-out on Denon AVR-2807?

Hi Karmor

Use the Tape Out(rec) connections on the Denon. If that model has a rec out selector, then be sure to select phono as well. All sweet and ready to rip them files!!

SOURCE: Vinyl on Turntable sounds thin and trebley through Denon AVR-1603

You will need an adapter amp which converts the tiny tiny signal from a magnetic phono cartridge up to the line level that you need to feed into your AUX input jacks. They cost about $20 to $30 dollars and can be found at Radio Shack. Unless of course you have a phono input jack on the back of your Denon unit. Good luck.

What inputs on the Denon AVR 1500 do I use for connecting a turntable

If the turntable is old-school (not self-preamplified) just connect it to PHONO.

If the TT is self-preamplified use any available Line Level input, like AUX.

NO sound

the finals are burnt out.
the output transistor are blown out because they have probably been locked up in a cabinet and have not received enough air.
or if it is fairly new check your speaker connections

Denon AVR-687 cannot power on, no power light lit around power

Check the main power switch next to the large power button. It is a small push button. If it is pressed in and you still have no light around the power button then very likely you have a dead power supply.

Hi, I'd like to use my Denon at overseas where

There should be a switch that you could set to the various voltages. Normally a round switch in one of the corners on the rear panel that you can turn with a flat screwdriver

No sound from any source from speakers

check your connections again and ensure you have the audio going out. With many tv's you need to change a setting in the menu, double check that as well.
