SOURCE: brand new sebo x4 won't turn on. It has never been used.

No, and being under Warrenty, take it back to where you bought it and have it looked at. You will void the Warrenty if you do anything to it. One thing to that you can check is make sure that the handle is all the way inserted and locked. The vac. is shipped with the handle not installed and will not turn on if not all the way inserted.

SOURCE: I need to know how to repalce the drive belt in a Sebo upright cl

Thanks to its automatic height-adjust feature, the Sebo X4 has two drive belts, one from the motor to the height-adjust sensor, and another from that sensor to the brush roller. To access them, first remove the base from the handle, undo the four recessed screws on the underside of the base, then turn it over and lift off the cover. You will then see the belts. The rest should be obvious (it's a while since I've done one of these, but I think you may have to loosen the screws holding the height-adjust sensor before you can slip the belt off).
I hope this helps. Any further problem, just re-post here and I'll do my best. Good luck!

SOURCE: I want to release flex from sebo x4 vacuum cleaner to cut back...

On the underside of the handle, there's a small screw close to where the metal and plastic parts join. Undo this screw. This will allow you to pull the plastic part out of the metal part - not very far, but just far enough so that you can separate the plastic part into two halves lengthways. That gives you access to the switch, and you should find the rewiring job and reassembly straight forward from there on.
I hope this helps. If you need more, just post a reply and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I do value feedback, so please remember to rate this answer.

SOURCE: Sebo X4 Extra brush light remains on despite

Sorry you've had to wait so long for a reply. Perhaps you no longer need help, but here goes anyway. Must confess I'm not certain about this, but my guess is that the automatic height adjust mechanism (let's call it the HAM for convenience) isn't working properly. The HAM works by sensing the drag of the brush roll against the carpet, and raising or lowering the front of the machine as necessary to maintain constant drag. So first you need to check the HAM, as follows: with the handle in the locked upright position, switch on and wait for a few seconds (there may or may not be any signal from the green UP or DOWN lights). Then, still switched on, lower the handle to the normal operating position and check that the green DOWN light comes on. Wait until the DOWN light goes off and then return the handle to fully upright (switched on all the time). When fully upright the UP light should come on for a few seconds and you may be able to see the handle tilt backwards as the front of the machine rises. If this is all working properly, we need to look elsewhere for a solution. The next thing I would look for is for a broken belt. Just turn the machine over while it's running and look to see that the brush is rotating (keeping fingers and clothing well clear, of course). Sebo belts usually last 15 years or more, but breakages are not unknown.
I realise this may not exactly solve your problem, but it should give you something to work on. If you need more help, post a reply here, saying what you've found so far, and I'll try to be more specific.
Good luck!

SOURCE: bag full or clog light comes on but new bag and no

Have you checked the filters to see if they are blocked and need cleaning/replacing. Failing that it could be the sensor at fault.

My sebo x4 is overheating, no lights come on, appears to vacuum well but cuts out after about 10 minutes, motor area hot. What can I do?

Has the vacuum cleaner ever been disassembled and the casing/motor cleaned? There are a couple of drive belts and a stepper motor inside of the vacuum body, and it needs to have the stepper calibrated (it's a complicated unit). I found a youtube video of a teardown and service of the Sebo X4 -

I have a sebo x4 , when I switch it on the red lights flick on and off and nothing happenes

The red lights should flash very quickly upon vacuum start-up (normal). If the motor is not turning on there is likely a problem with the motor or power supply board. The lights flashing does indicate that you are getting power to the PC control board. If your vacuum is under warranty, this would likely be covered. I have included a link to the parts list for your reference. http://sebo.us/pdfs/website_schematicsPDFs/AUTOMATIC%20X%20Schematics.pdf

My sebo x4 extra does not start. There is power but no warning lights are flashing. When I turn the vacuum on there is a continual clicking/buzzing sound.

Hi.

Eeither motor or servo motor with gear box is seized. Testing is done energizing the motor. Test and repair must be done by a technician. Call the number listed on the owners manual to contact a qualified repairer.

I have many SEBO automatic X4 vacuums with broken foot pedals. I would like to buy 5 foot pedals that I believe the part number is 5059DG can you tell me where to get it

I guess that depends where you live... plenty of spares sources online (google sebo vacuum spares)... otherwise google sebo dealerships in your country/locality.
