Why does my nespresso flashes 3 times stops flashes again

You must re press both buttons at once again sow you will remove mashein from descaleing mode

1: Depending on how long you've had your machine, it may need descaling. The machines are preset for hard water - if you're in an area with soft water, try pressing and holding the Lungo button while you turn the machine on. Hold until the lights stop flashing.
2: The Pixie can be reset to factory settings by holding both buttons down before and when you turn the machine on, again until the lights stop flashing - this will reset to factory settings.
3: The temperature is preset to be the optimum temperature for the extraction process. If, after following the above steps, the temp is still too low, call the Nespresso Club and they will advise you.

Has anyone operated your machine that was unfamiliar with the correct method. It sound as though the quantity has been reset. Try holding both buttons down while turning the machine on - hold till buttons stop flashing. This will reset to factory settings. Then, you can programme each button by holding it down whilst extracting, then releasing when the correct amount is extracted. It will remember this until you return the machine to its factory settings as above.

Try holding both buttons down while you turn the machine on until they stop flashing - usually about 5 seconds. This will reset the machine to its factory settings. Hope this helps.

This problem is most likely being caused by air being trapped in the system. To fix this, please follow the following steps: -

- Turn on the Machine, ensuring there is water in the tank
- Wait until the light stops flashing and the machine is ready for use
- Lift the silver lever on top of the machine into the upright position
- Press the coffee button on your machine
- Push the silver lever back, away from you, and hold it in this position for 3 seconds
- Press the coffee button again to stop the water flow

This procedure releases the air blockage in the system and your machine should function normally again.

I had the same issue. This is what a did:
Turn off the machine
Remove the tray/container and leave it outside
Turn on the machine and this time the power button should be flashing (preheating) then hold both cup buttons for 3 sec and it will be back to normal opertion....
For some reason the sensor needs to read that the tray/container is out of the machine...

If you just bought it you should return it immediately and try another.
