How do you light your pilot light on an kenmore oven

To light the pilot light on a Kenmore Maxitrol oven, please follow these steps:
  1. Locate the pilot light assembly. It's usually at the bottom of the oven, behind a small metal cover.
  2. Turn the oven control knob to the "off" position.
  3. Remove the metal cover by pulling it out or lifting it up, depending on the model.
  4. Locate the pilot light and the pilot light valve. The valve is usually a small red button located near the pilot light.
  5. Press and hold the pilot light valve in for a few seconds while you use a long match or lighter to light the pilot light.
  6. Once the pilot light is lit, continue holding the pilot light valve in for another 30 seconds.
  7. Release the pilot light valve and make sure the pilot light stays lit. If it doesn't, repeat the process.
  8. Replace the metal cover and turn the oven control knob to the desired temperature setting.
Note: If you're having trouble lighting the pilot light or keeping it lit, it may be best

Oven light stays on all the time even when oven off.

Does your oven have a switch on the front panel for "oven light" or "light" ? If so, pushing it may turn the light on and off. Also, there may be a pushbutton on the oven's front edge where the door fits. The button comes out when the door is open and turns the light on. If you have one of those, the switch could be broken or defective. If the button is missing or damaged, it could leave the light on all the time.

Replace light in KEMC378KSS microwave

The oven lights are 12-volt, 5-watt maximum halogen bulbs. They
will come on when the oven door is opened. On double oven
models, both upper and lower lights will come on when either
door is opened. The oven lights will not work during the Self-
Cleaning cycle. When the oven door is closed, press OVEN

To Replace:
Before replacing, make sure the oven is off and cool.
1. Disconnect power.

pulling away from oven
