SOURCE: WiFi Connectivity Problems

Hi, On several instances of this type problem, I normally suggest to check the particular WiFi Networking card that is used by the Toshiba laptop. This could be done by going to the Device Manager under Networking adapters. Thereafter go to the website of the chipset/wifi manufacturer and check if they have a connection utility. Sometime Windows WiFi Configuration utility fails to detect the existing network. You may have to use the config utility of the manufacturer. A method of verifying if your WiFi is working and if it can detect the network around it is by downloading, installing and running NetStumbler. Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: installing drivers after reformating hard drive

Well, can you use the system you wrote this post on to access Toshiba's support site, download the drivers for the M35, and tranfer them via flash drive or cd or usb? That would be best, given the information at hand. You don't have to use the actual system in question to download drivers. Good luck

SOURCE: I have toshiba Satellite M70-340

Your best bet, if you can plug in to the internet by wire, is to go to a website called driveragent.com and do a scan. They usually will have all the drivers you need. (this is what I do). You will need to buy a subscription, but it will save you a ton of time. If you can't go online at all, you will have to find out the brand names of the audio, video, wireless and mass storage controller devices for your laptop via the the hardware profile on your laptop, then go to their websites on another computer and download them to a flash drive or CD so that you can load them on your laptop. It would be very helpful to get your Wifi working first, so that you can do the rest online directly with your laptop, again through a company like driveragent.com

The hard drive needs to be formatted and you need to have the boot order set to the 1 usb 2 hard drive in the bios. Also make sure your installation files on the USB aren't corrupt. The USB needs to be formatted before the installation files are loaded on to it.Make sure your laptop is Windows 10 capable.I think it should be loaded with Windows 7 first then maybe upgraded to Windows 10.Here is a link for tools you may need to get Windows 7 on the laptop after having Linux installed......(https://www.asus.com/Laptops/Eee_PC_1225B/HelpDesk_Download/).....Hope this helps

Boot manager is missing on Satellite A105-S2051 laptop

Anything that the reps from Acronis did that you no longer want (together with all the information on the hard drive) can be got rid off by wiping the partition information on the hard drive. You will be given just such an option when you begin to install Windows 7 by booting off your Windows 7 installation DVD. You should not get any MBR error messages if you have correctly booted off an installation DVD. The errors you are getting indicates you are still trying to boot from a hard drive (that is probably "wiped clean" or new, and does not have an operating system installed).

How to Reload WIndows on a New Hard Drive?

You don't need to remove a hard drive to install a new operating system. You need an operating system reinstallation disc to do that. You can find a lot of tutorials on how to install windows 7 in youtube.

If you have wiped the old hard drive using the partition command there isn't much you can do if the cd drive will not work. The CD drive being a problem is common in this model HP laptop. I'm not sure that laptop will support Windows 7, you need to check the HP website and see if they offer a download for the drivers for that model for Windows 7, if not you may want to reconsider this change since Windows 7 will not work with Windows Vista drivers. If you did not repartition the hard drive then the recovery or factory installation is still present on the main hard drive. The drive was split into 2 drives. C: which you have always used and D: which holds all the recovery information and installation disk.

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/outFrm.jsp?ofId=AskIris&searchString=A135-S2276&x=5&y=10
go to above website and download your relevant, drivers, in fact download them all, and install and reboot, one by one, that way you have all latest drivers installed, as it is now, you only have Windows Generic drivers for all your things.
