I would not use the sync. I would make a new folder for your choices and put them in the order you want to hear them. Name the folders according to country, hip-hop, rap etc. If you want put the cd into it's own folder. Name the folder the cds shortened name...

If you set the play mode to shuffle. It should shuffle whatever you are playing, be it All Music, An album or a playlist.

you can set the player to shuffle by pressing the "M" button. from the menu choose "Repeat" mode press "Previous/Next" to scroll through the options until you get to "shuffle". [Press "Play/Pause" to confirm and press M to return to sub menu.

Play list?

You can create a folder on your computer with all the songs you want, then drag and drop the whole folder into My Computer > Removable Disk :_ ... Then simply navigate to the folder within your mp3 player, and press play.

You must be in MTP mode, create a sync list in WMP, then drag the play list to the sync list of the e-280. it will create the new playlist on the e280.

Unwanted songs added to play list

You might want to try these suggestions: 1. In folders options, click on the box that will show all hidden files. 2. Be sure to copy the MP3 songs unto a Temp folder that you create only for these MP3's 3. Stop all background running programs, like spyware, anti-virus, firewalls etc. Be sure you are not connected to the Internet (DSL). 4. After all of the above has been accomplished, go ahead and do a Copy and Paste of your MP3 from that newly created Temp folder to your iLo MP3 player. I hope this helps. Restart your computer to get all background running programs running again.
