Take your Shaw remote control.
Press SETTINGS.
Use the LEFT/RIGHT keys to highlight PVR.
Click OK.
Use the LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN keys to highlight PVR HISTORY.
Click OK.
Scroll through the entries, looking for any "hardware failed" or "hardware error" messages -- finding any implies a failing disk-drive inside the Expander.

Please connect pvr to tv with a 21 pin scart lead to line input 1 or 2 on tv then when play or menu are selected on pvr tv should auto sw to the selected input and return to tv when pvr is sw off.

connect the cable from the wall to the box top them the other one to the pvr and tune the pvr to channel 3 or 4 try both,but also i would suggest to change the software you are using to ether sage tv or beyond tv because the win tv software sucks
