Keeps stopping wont keep time - Festina Chronograph 16162/1 watch

if it keeps time ignore the second hand if it keep time replace it

does the stem screw in the watch to hold it in place

sometimes when u buy a new watch they have it turned on for display try getting a new battery.

mcdevito75 here, It sounds like the (larger) minute hand is leaning against the (smaller) hour hand, stopping the time telling past 11:20 while the seconds hand keeps going. You"ll have to see a Watch repair person and have them look at your watch. Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area.

1. You need to first set the time correctly,then wind it and see if it keeps time or not.

2. Most winding wrist watches needs winding every morning in order to keep it working perfectly,maybe you do not wind it everday that is why it does not keep time.

3.If the result is still the same then you might need to replace the winner.

It may be that the battery is getting near the end of its life.

this watch will need a service from a rolex trained repairer wich wont be cheap 700 dollars min or 500uk pounds min..you could try tapping watch in palm of hand to see if a batton or luminous paint has come loose,then all it needs is movement taking out and blown clean inside case.any decent repairer can do this.sometimes the teeth on a wheel can wear in one place hence it always stops in same place.recomend service as best action,you never loose on a rolex...

keep changing the hours until it goes through all 24, then it should start at AM

Your watch is an automatic watch which means it winds itself as long as you are wearing it. If you don't wear it for several days it will stop working. To solve this situation buy an automatic watch winder to keep your watch in while you are not wearing it and it will keep the correct time.

Battery life indicater just warning to get that battery replaced so it wont stop at an inconveinient time
