I have wd73735 it has horizontal bars across the screen with blue and white lines

Sounds like the green is out of focus. If the focus control for the green does not control it enough to make the width the same as the red, then, the lens on top of the green can be adjusted to focus that tube. On the lens, there is a wing nut on a screw to loosen it and move the lens left or right a bit to help with the focus. Hope this helps.

sounds like bad capacitors on the FMT board need replacing that is a common fault with the first generation DLPs There are 3 bad capacitors.

The set has over 150 capacitors that could be causing the problem but it is at least 1 doing this. Contact Mitsubishi. Some people have been able to get new replacment TVs because of this problem

SOURCE: we just replaced the DLP chip in our mitsubishi 1080P tv because we had white spots all over the screen. Now after replacing the DLP chip we have no picture at all but we have sound. Help?

Likely you either forgot to reattach your color wheel ribbon connector, or have it on upside down. It's the tiny ribbon cable behind your circuit board that will come off as you pull the board away from the DLP chip.
