I just bought the Samsung MP3 YP-U3JQB and when I plug it into the USB, the driver can not be found. I downloaded a driver tool that updates drivers, but this one is not in there. Is there a place I can download just that particular driver

this could be a driver problem

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices

if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver

if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver

if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
or you might have to download them

Go to this website and download Multi Media Studio.
Install the program on your computer and open it, then plug in your YP-U3 and it should recognize your player and then you can download music, pictures,etc to your player.

i had recently bought this mp3 and had the same problem as you. i went online and read many solutions about drivers and stuff... geez! after 6 hours of frustration and researching online. i almost decided to blast the mp3 out of its misery. LOL! but i used my brain and i had finally solved my problem.

install samsung media on pc
turn on your samsung yp-u3
go to settings
go to system
go to format
select yes
COMPLETE MP3 FORMAT

NEXT PLUG MP3 INTO USB
go to control panel
system
hardware tab
device manager
samsung yp-u3
driver tab
update driver

wait for completion of update

abra caddabra! mp3 is now ok.

I just solved the problem after many attempts!
It works for me, and i hope it works for you too~First install media player 10!
When I plug in my YP-U3 player, the computer says it needs to search for a driver, then i let it search it online. But it normally
won't search the driver on the internet. Then, it will give a prompt to ask if you want to find a solution or search the driver from
the PC. Choose the second option, searching from the PC. Then change the directory to C: (Which is the most crucial part).
After a while, the driver should be found and a warning message will appear. Forget about the warning, choose install the
hardware anyway, player should be recognized by then.
(I have had windows media player 11(10 also works), direct X 9...etc. before installing the driver)

I bought a Samsung YP-U3 . It had the installation cd .When plug to usb port It's charging but it shows disconnected...the samsung media studio and my pc don't recognise it, allways ask new samsung YP-U3 found. when i give the path to cd it dint get. Please help me....

once you install it follow these steps:

-right click my computer-click properties-click on hardware tab- then click on device manager

- plug in your yp-u3jqby mp3 player

-you should see your mp3 player pop up. double click it. then upgrade drivers.

after endless hours... i finally got it to work. i guess the trick is windows media player 11.

try finding this usb mass storage device driver on the windows xp cristal.
1.first instal the cd driver giver from samsung alias samsung media studio 5.
2.then restart computer.
3.plug the yp-u3 and then maybe is ok
