How to adjust screen size on a sylvania tv

Instead of trying to make the TV display the picture the right size I suggest you adjust it at the source. If it is a cable box or sat box there should be a display adjust capability to size the display to the native resolution of your TV.

check power supply volt is normal
if abnormal picture size is big
check vertical filter,preset, ic &yoke

you can adjust the screen size from you remote control BY ZOOM, maybe some Model TV, had the design control MODE, you can adjust in 16:9

i use my 32 inch lcd tv as a pc monitor set on a resolution of 1360 x 768. most movies i watch will fill the screen

Sounds terminal. Companies build things with "planned obsolescence" in mind. In other words. You buy a TV today, and the warranty says it's good for 4 years. 4 years and 3 months later, it dies.

you are viewing in16:9 ratio (widescreen) and your tv is 4:3 you need to change your picture settings in the tv menu
