Adapting a 4 channel pa system to plug into a marantz cd310 digital recorder

We have an older pa system with 4 audio channels. We now have purchased a Marantz cd310 digital recorder. Is there an adapter available to have the four go into 2?

What is the new Pa System Brand and Model. I am almost certain that every PA System sold has a stereo or mono out put and yes there are adapters to go from mono to left and right (stereo ) on your CD310 recorder. So, the simple answer is to look at the manual or even the back of the mixer to fins out where the audio is coming out of the mixer. The mixer on the pa system will mix the sources together for you. So, you might not need much of anything but a cord to get the audio to your recorder. You can send me the model number and I can give you the exact cord you need or you can take it to a near by store that sells audio pa systems and show them what you have and what you are trying to do and they will sell you a cord that will solve your issue.

My Marantz amplifier PM5005 mutes automatically as soon as I raise the volume. The volume automatically turns down to 0. Please help.

Has this just started , have you added more speakers, do you have more than 1 speaker per channel? Impedance is very important and you should never have less than 4 ohms per channel, 8 is preferred..try and disconnect on channel speaker and see if it still happens. If it does reconnect speaker and remove the remaining speaker and try it. You may have a bad speaker, it sounds like you have an overload and unit is going into protection.

How to get sound from a nady audio 4130 mpm 4 channel power mixer

First, plug it in. Next connect the speakers. Center all eq controls both master and channel. Turn off any reverb or effects. Turn the master volume 1/2 way up. Plug a sound source into channel 1 wiyj the channel volume all the way off. Turn on the amp. Slowly raise the channel volume until you heat output. If you get nothing, it's broken.

How do I connect an ipod to my EPA900 ? also, I have a digital recorder with a USB connect. Is there a converter product that I can purchase that will allow me to connect this recorder to the system?

It is unlikely to find a compatible USB convertor for that digital recorder. If it has audio input you can probably use a similar cable to that for the IPOD described next. For the IPOD, get a 1/8 inch STEREO splitter cable that splits to 1/4 inch plugs or RCA plugs to connect to the PA system. Radio Shack will probably have a suitable one.

Lost manual. I need to know how to hook a TDK-3826 dual recorder to a PA System at church to record the services and what CDs to use.

Hi wpless43!
The TDK-3826 supports analog input/output, digital coaxail input/output, and digital optical input/output. To connect a PA system, you'll have to determine what type of connection it uses. If your PA system uses an analog connection, it will have two audio cables, one for the left sound channel and one for the right channel. These are color coded and can be connected to analog connections on the back of recorder. Coaxail and optical connections are both single cable connections, and can be connected to their respective locations on the back of the recorder.

Regardless of the connection used, you'll want to connect one of the outputs of the PA system to the recorder if you want record. If you want to use the recorder to play back audio over the PA, you'll want to connect the output of the recorder to the input of your PA. Most PAs support multiple outputs and inputs, so you should be able to connect the recorder input and output at the same time.

You'll want to use CD-R/RW discs to record, but make sure they are audio discs (See image). joehaydu.jpg
You can find a copy of the manual for the TDK-3826 at http://audio.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/bd4c0d62-6f82-4bfb-bf83-8d832f3fe222.pdf. Hope that helps!

I recently installed a Comcast digital adapter to my SONY RDR-VX515 DVD Recorder/VCR Combo and then onto the TV. Now, when I try to program the VCR to record, the only channel options are Ch 4, Line 1 and...

Hi and welcome to FixYa

Initially, postback the model number of the Comcast digital adapter and the TV.

Offhand, if the Comcast digital adapter is connected to the Sony through a coaxial patchcord, then the Sony would really have to be set to Ch 4 (or 3). Channel selection is done on the Comcast digital adapter. It is not possible to record one channel while viewing another.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa

My VCR not recording after the switch to digital tv signal

The answer to this question can get a little complicated. Lets tackle it in two parts. First the last part; the part about picking up channels as decimals. With analog TV transmission, it took the full television broadcast channel to transmit one standard definition TV program. The newer digital transmission system uses some advanced video compression and audio compression technology to reduce the data needed to transmit the pictures and sound which allows the same bandwidth to deliver either High Definition Television programming or MULTIPLE channels of Standard Definition programs. So in your example above, you use to watch one channel of programming on TV channel 4, but now the TV station can broadcast multiple channels of programming on channel 4, sot they delineate the programs with a decimal point. So 4.1 it the first program on TV channel 4, 4.2 it the second program on TV channel 4..... Well, I hope you get the idea.

Now for the hard part of your question. I believe that before the transition, even with your new digital TV, you were still enjoying the analog broadcasts from your stations. Your VCR picked them up and recorded them and your digital TV could tune them in and you watched as you had always done in the past. After the transition you noticed that your VCR could not record anymore and your digital TV had discovered the digital channels that replace the analog channels. To remedy this situation, your VCR will need the aid of a DTV converter box to tune channels, and you may have to reconfigure the way your TV and VCR are connected. The best resource that I can give your for the reconnecting is the website http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/converterbox_vcr.html. Loss of VCR Channels due to Digital Switchover

Comcast is full of it.

If you have a cable box, plug the box directly into the cable feed, then place the VCR inline between the cable and the TV. Leave the VCR on Channel 3 or 4 and use the box to select the channel. You could also use the video and audio out lines from the box and run them to the VCR.
