If your speaker supports Bluetooth. Use the screenshots below to connect to your device. If not, you can use a wire from your iPhone to the speaker. it looks like the last screenshot below.
On your phone...
Go to Settings and then Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth. Look for your JBL device under "OTHER DEVICES" and tap on it to connect.
On your speaker. Turn on pairing mode for your JBL deivce Find your JBL device on your phone or laptop and pair them Confirm successful pairing JBL speakers typically have a dedicated Bluetooth button to use to pair your speaker.
My assumption is that you are using Bluetooth and your phone has Bluetooth on and you have used whatever pairing instructions are included with the phone and speaker. If so, turn off the speaker and repeat the pairing process. Good luck

Turn on the speaker, hit the Bluetooth pairing button on the speaker, go to settings on your iphone, then click the Bluetooth menu on your iphone, turn on Bluetooth and then click on the speaker description as it pops up near the bottom of the menu. You should be connected if this is a Bluetooth speaker.
If you have purchased Speakers with Bluetooth Connectivity capability you can do this by switching on the speakers and on your iphone use the Bluetooth Pairing Option from Bluetooth settings to establish connectivity and play music to hear from speakers
You did not mention pairing it. Remember that bluetooth speakers need to be paired with your IPhone. Consult your speakers documentation for steps to pair the device to your phone.
You need to make sure your speaker is discoverable and on. Then go into your Settings App, Tap Bluetooth and then slide it to on. Then the discoverable bluetooth items in range will pop up and you click on the one you want and it will be connected.
On the iphone in bluetooth menu delete all soma speakers.
on the soma put it into bluetooth discovery mode
on the iphone wait till soma speaker shows up
select the soma speaker NOT the arrow on the right side
wait till the iphone reads 'connected'
if you are asked for a passcode use 0000
easy put your phone or device on and the other device look for it in the scanning option and pair its normaly asks for a pin that is the pin they give you with the phone for the bluetooth option 00000 is standard
