You might want to install a program called CCleaner. Very good with removing programs. If that doesn't appear, there might be a way of removing it from the registry. Use this microsoft article How to manually remove programs from the Add or Remove Programs tool

Perform the operations while in safe mode, including the install of the new application and the first virus and malware scans. Safe mode gives you control that you dont have in normal.

Once a program is uninstalled, it's removed from 'Add/Remove Programs'. To get Yahoo! Messenger back, download it from Yahoo! (Link) and install it.

Dell program 924plc32 4095Mb installed

What is the program associated to ?

It is up to you to determine if you the program installed was it installed on your computer as an accessory or at the time of the operating system installation ?'Is the program needed by any other programs to run ?

You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using. It could be beneficial to your computer's productivity and functioning to free up space. You run the risk of running out of space on your computer if you add too many programs without uninstalling some. It is a relatively easy process, but you should be sure you are not removing a program that is necessary to the operation of your computer.

Click "Start" and select "Programs." Click "Control Panel" and "Programs" and "Programs and Features." Browse the list of programs on your computer and select one that you want to remove. Click "Uninstall." You may be prompted for permission from the administrator to remove the program. Enter the administrator password or confirmation if necessary. Check the properties of the program if it is not listed in "Programs." You can do this by right-clicking on the program desktop icon and selecting "Properties." Check to see if the program is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. Click "Start" and "Run," to manually remove the programs if the uninstall option does not completely uninstall the program. Type "Regedt32" in the box and click "OK." Locate the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" registry key and click "Export" under the "File" tab. Click "Desktop" on the "Export Registry File" dialog box. Type "Uninstall" in the "File Name" box and select "Save." The left panel of the Registry Editor will display the programs that are currently installed. Right-click the key in the left panel of the Registry Editor window. Click "Delete." Click "Yes" when you are asked to confirm deletion of the program. Click the "File" menu and select "Exit." This will exit the Registry Editor. Click "Start" and "Control Panel" and click "Add or Remove Programs." Confirm that the program is no longer listed here. Hope this helps.

Backed up my pc to a removable disk, what should i uninstall

A good place to start is the 'add/remove programs' section in Control Panel. Go down the list and un-install programs that you no longer need.

That is the problem. How do you uninstall it? Because the Manual doesn`t give any information as to how it`s done.

Uninstalling depends on several things.
If you used "Add & Remove Programs" to install (some programs automaticly register with "Add & Remove Programs") you can just go to "Add & Remove Programs" and choose "Remove Program"
If that option isn't available, look in the programs folder for an uninstall program (often listed as "unwise")
If neither of these work you'll have to do a manual uninstall. This takes some advanced understanding or the operating system to do without risking messing up the operating system. You'll need to delete the program(s) manually then use the registry editor to remove the references to the program. Be sure to back up the entire system first and then the registry before beginning (one bad key stroke can corrupt the entire OS).
Note: I didn't give step-by-step instructions on the manual uninstall because if you don't already know how you shouldn't try.

Need to speed up my computer.

there are several areas that slow. you can address them one at a time.
1. internet... download and run ATF Cleaner here www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1 -
Run it everytime you exit your internet broswer, always run it twice and look for the "no files found" message. this free program belongs on everyone's desktop and almost eliminates the need for spyware programs.
2. Programs-- go to your programs list and UNINSTALL (NOT DELETE) any old programs your not using-- if there's no uninstall for the program, do it from the add/remove software area of the control panel.
3.remove all entries from the start-programs-startup folder.. This will not uninstall programs, just keep them from starting untill you actually need them (imagaine that)
4. Start- run- type in MSCONFIG, click the startup tab at the top. uncheck all boxes for stuff like yahoo messenger, real player, quicktime....make sure you dont touch the ones for your virus programs and video and sound cards. restart the computer, asnwer ok when it says you've changed things.
5. Get a can of canned air unplug the computer from power take the side or back off the case and blow all the cobwebs out. especially the fans and metal finned heatsincs under them.
there is more , but this should speed ya up a bit.
Regards..
