Fn not working

Hi Dimitar,
We often hear users telling us that they not able to use Fn keys such as the fn for wireless, sleep, etc.
In fact, you need to install power management software and drivers whereby it has hotkey driver included in it. Hotkey driver is the key to make sure the Fn keys work.

P.S. This apply to only Lenovo Essential and Idea machines. Exclude Think machines.

My lenovo s100 cant view my webcam..or it not dtected

@joefry_dioce

If you're using Yahoo Messenger or Skype to access your webcam and it says No Camera Detected, the camera might be turned-off. Try the following:

1. Presss Fn+ESC (The Fn key is located at the left side of the space bar). that's the hotkey to turn your Webcam ON and OFF and try to check if your Webcam works.

2. Open Device Manager - press the Windows Key+R and type devmgmt.msc on the keyboard (the windows key looks like this ray_tosh_1.jpg ) and look for Imaging Devices

ray_tosh_22.jpg

3. If you see your webcam there, try to right click on it and Uninstall and restart your computer and check if your webcam works now.

If that still doesn't work and the webcam light is not turning ON, that's already a sign that your webcam is failing and needs to be replaced. If you're still under warranty, you can Call Lenovo Support at 1-877-453-6686 to have it serviced.

Good luck.

Some of the keys on the keyboard when pressed display the wrong letter/number/character. i have changed the keyboard but its still a problem.

First thing I would check would be the "NUM LOCK" key. It may be activated via the function (FN) key on the lower left of the keyboard. In other words, hold down the FN key and hit (NMLK) which should be somewhere along the top edge on the right side.
