you change the developer or drum unit

Try 1234567812345678 I assume your talking about the admin. Password. If the above does not work need service mode to change it,

check the fuser and have tech come out to look at it

Look for a shipping lock. Sometimes it's under the tray or such, it will move half a turn or so to release the workings. The owners manual should mention it.
