Hello,

Check your color wheel to make sure it is spinning properly, and that your Fresnel lenses are clean. There are tools that allow you to check for the proper RPM settings of the color wheel.

I believe that your problem is being caused by the color wheel or the color wheel motor.

I hope this helps,

The screen on my dlp 62 in is kind of flashing and color is messing up is that a sign that the bulb is going out

Yes your excatly right. Most manufacturers made it very easy to change the bulbs so dont fret you can probably get one for $100 - $200 dollars if you look good enough and Bam your TV is like new.

Installed a new bulb. Color is not correct.

The installation of a new lamp will not affect the color of your image.Normally what happens is that because a new lamp will add more brightness to your image, the color issue is then more noticeable,so its possible that the color issue was already there .

I have a Toshiba 46H84 with a now defective Green bulb or tube. TV shop said government regulations won't allow them to fix it. Any possible fix?

I would be looking for a different shop and send them the bill.
If all fails go on ebay and get a new bulb and find someone who can replace it.
I wouldn't suggest you do it yourself because of the voltage these televisions put out.

Picture fuzzy on dark scenes

Well I finally had the TV picked up by a Toshiba recommended repair place and they are saying that it is a bad Optical Block, also known as the Light Engine. Total for pick up, parts and repairs is $827.00. This seems ridiculous to me when brand new TVs are so much cheaper now. I don't think I will pay that much to have this one fixed.

How long does a lamp/bulb of a Toshiba DLP 46HM95 46 in last?

Your bulb may be blowing because of airflow issues or power cycling issues, first does your outlet get switched off at any point in time? if so you may be killing the bulb before it cools, if you turn the set on/off alot and or restart it after off quickly this could lead to permature bulb failure, if the original lamp was not replaced with a proper lamp to match the ballast it could blow the bulb. If your tv is too near a heat vent or the airflow thru the set is not adequate it could blow the bulb.
