Same Shut Off Problem as Hamster71

I have the same model LUX7000.  My machine is doing exactly the same thing.  It shuts off and indictates the bag is full when it is brand new.  The top filter (HEPA) is in place and clean.  I have tried running the vacuum without that filter and it still does the same thing.  I have blown everything with a high presure air hose, I have vacuumed the unit with a shop vac and tried everything I can without success.  One thing I noticed is when the knob on the top that adjusts how sensitive it is to the size of particles before the machine shuts down is set lower than the most fine setting,  the machine even shuts off more quickley.  The only way to get it to run at all is to make that setting for the finest particle setting.

What does the key light stand for on lux7000 canister vaccuum?

The light on the top of the 7000 that represents a "key" as you state it, is actually a "No Bag" light. That means to check the bag compartment for a bag. Replace if you do not see one. Close the door, push the start button, and voila....it will start. If it doesn't , make sure the bag top (cardboard) is flush inside. It may be missing the bag switch. Hope that helps!

Electrolux 2100 vacuum

Electrolux has had this issue across all tank machines for years and it has to do with the orientation of the bag. The bags are model specific and must be installed properly. Consult your manual for the proper filter bags and how to install them. The door on the bag will pop open and shut down the machine if the bags are not the proper ones and don't fit precisely. It is supposed to be a safety feature but it annoys the devil out of people and has for years. Their machines are very powerful and well made, but if the bag does not seal properly around the hose inlet or the gasket around the door and bag chamber leak, then you will have this happen.

Eletrolux lux7000 manu and how to retract the power cord?

For the user's/owner's manual, go to the below link, click on the arrow below where it says "Older Models", click on Lux 7000, click on "download". If you want a service manual, they are only available to Aerus Electrolux stores.
For retracting the cord, try tipping vacuum up on it's back end and gently pulling and releasing cord. This will often cause it to retract. If not, keep in mind that the canister portion of this vacuum has a 7 year warranty on it, so depending on when you purchased it, the cordwinder may still be covered. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or abuse. There are other things that will void the warranty.

My handheld vaccum bag got full and the machine shut off. i cleaned the clog, replaced the bag, and the machine won't turn on.

Depending on the make and model you can sometimes find a reset button on it somewhere.. If I knew the make and model I could be more helpful with your issue. Thanks for choosing Fixya.

Can't get my lux7000 to run

Make sure the bag is in place correctly. The question mark light indicates that there isn't a bag in the machine. There is a small button in the front of the bag housing that is depressed by the cardboard top of the bag. I think it is located in the bottom right hand of the bag housing if you are facing the front of the machine. Make sure the bag is depressing this actuator when the front of the machine is closed. If it is, it may be an internal problem with the switch. Good Luck!!

Same Shut Off Problem as Hamster71

The part that you call the particle size sensetivity adjuster is bad. There are 2 seals in the assembly, the lower seal is slipping out of place because the plastic lip which keeps it in place is broken. Split housings and replace part. This machine is alot of work to take appart and get back together correctly. Might want to bring to local vac shop. good luck.
