Push and hold the Ambient (outside) Temperature button down while pressing the Temperature Down button. After several seconds the display will toggle.

maybe you had a temporary hold rather than permanent hold. turn the temp back with permanent hold.

hold is for a fixed temp. run resumes a program. if hold is displayed on right side you are not running a program. the temp will change back to room temp NOT set point temp, this is normal but your setpoint temp did not change if hold is displayed.

To set the temperature and by pass the program feature press "HOLD" This feature is alternate action each time you press it changes from on or off, off to on.


This will make your 3M-22 act like a non-progammable thermostat. It will hold the target temperature you set indefinitely, until you turn HOLD off. Take care using the HOLD function as the program is now bypassed. To set a hold target temperature, press HOLD and use the +/- buttons to select your hold temperature. The HOLD icon will display on the HOME screen indicating you have changed the Target Temperature. The system will HOLD this temperature until you return to the manual screen. To turn off hold press HOLD again. HOLD is also canceled when you set the mode to OFF.

Unless you hit "hold" it will always default to the saved program settings after so long.

The outside air temperature indicator's displayed temperature can be recalibrated. Press and hold the reset select button for 10 seconds . While you continue to hold the button, the display will scroll through temperature settings from +3 to -3. When the desired correction value appears on the display, release the button, and the recalibrated outside air temperature will be displayed. Each time a desired correction value is entered, it replaces the previous value. Give that a try mmkayyy:)

Press and hold for about 1 second to enter Manual Override mode. When display flashes, you can release the key. ■ Press again to change to your desired Set Temperature. Hold the key for 2 seconds to fast-advance the Set Temperature. ■ Press to return to normal mode, or wait 5 seconds for it to return automatically. ■ The current program number will flash to signify the Temporary Override. ■ At the next program change time, the Temporary Override is cancelled, and the next program temperature becomes the setpoint temperature. If what you say is accurate, I would look at either a weak compressor or and issue with the expansion device. (Cap tube, TXV)
What are your pressures and what freon are you using? Does the door(s) seal tight?

relay may be bad to compressor.does it run for few seconds and click off?
