Will not operate using battery

The player just stopped working. At first it kept saying "low battery", then shut off, even though there was a 'fresh battery" installed. Then it just quit--no readout/no battery indicator readout..nothing! Is there an easy fix to this problem? It will "play" when plugged into USB port. Better yet, where can I obtain a troubleshooting manual with illustrations? And, I guess the obvious question would be...is it worth trying to fix? (I understand...that's an "opinion") THANX: [email protected]

Even rechargeable batteries eventually die. Have you tried leaving it plugged into power for a long time, like at least overnight? As for a manual, you didn't list a make or model. Try a search for the make and model and include user manual in the search box.

SOURCE: low level format

You need to punch in sequence of buttons: left+left, right+right, up, center, down This will make you to format the device completely. Once the format is done, you need to reset the player by pressing Record and Menu, both at the same time. Then turn the player ON, it will display message "USB device", that means, player has nothing on it and it is working as mass storage device only. Now you need to download the firmware from www.samsung.com and transfer two files MUON.ROM and SYSDATA.bin to root. Again reset the player by above mentioned sequence. turn the player on, and now you are back in business. Have a wonderful day. Enjoy Samsung player. Samsung rocks. - CHAMP

SOURCE: Sony Walkman NWD-B105F MP3 Player

I bought a NWD-B103F sony mp3 player last year. The mp3 player was working just fine till the same problem as discussed had popped out recent after 2 weeks i had left it untouched. Even I had followed the solutions given, I updated the firmware to version 1.2, I even tried the "pressing play button while inserting the player to USB port" method, the problem remained. I sent the mp3 player to the nearest sony service centre (still under warranty), they fixed it in one day and contacted me to get back the mp3. For my disappointment, I brought the player home and tried it out, the problem still unsolved. So, I'd like to know is there any other useful solutions because all other solutions given I had attempted resulted failure. Thanks for all the concern!

SOURCE: Computer won't detect Sansa C150

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device and reinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardware then device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually located under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you to look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer....Then follow this link below to download the porting kit...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en .Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP not msc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows media player click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the history and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on the back of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect your device..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>

And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

I have an onn bluetooth boombox that works fine with FM, bluetooth and CD's but as soon as i unplug it to use batteries only the FM and bluetooth works and it can no longer read ny CD's

If your onn bluetooth boombox is no longer able to read CDs when using battery power, it is possible that the batteries are not providing enough power to the CD player. CD players require a lot of power to spin the disc and read the data, and using low-quality or weak batteries may not be able to provide enough power for the CD player to function properly.
Here are some steps you can try to fix this problem:
  1. Use high-quality batteries: Make sure that you are using high-quality batteries in your onn bluetooth boombox. Low-quality batteries may not be able to provide enough power for the CD player, and they may also leak or corrode, which can damage the CD player and other components.
  2. Use fresh batteries: If you have been using the same batteries for a long time, they may have lost some of their charge and may not be able to provide enough power for the CD player. Try replacing the batteries with fresh ones to see if that helps.
  3. Use rechargeable batteries: Rechargeable batteries may be able to provide more consistent and reliable power to the CD player than disposable batteries. If you are using disposable batteries, try switching to rechargeable ones and see if that makes a difference.
If these steps do not fix the problem, it is possible that there is a problem with the CD player itself. In this case, you may need to contact onn customer support for further assistance. They will be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps and help you determine if the CD player needs to be repaired or replaced.

Fe-310, only used a few times, kept protected, one

Short answer - yes.
Manufacturers have become very good at making products that are reliable for exactly 1 year.
Usually it's small components that have a deffinate shelf life.
I would first check that you are using the correct battery for it. Even if it looks like it takes standard AA's - they often will only work for original spec rechargable blocks.
If this does not solve it - write a letter to Olympus saying how dissapointed you are with their product.
They may offer you a good deal on a repair hopefully.
Unfortunately Sony and HP are even worse - HP and lexmark printers now stop working after a period of time - telling you to buy more ink - even though you still have plenty.

Not charging? :(

Here are the possible cause of the problem.

1. Bad battery
2. Loose wire connection
3. Firmware or program

The fact that "the battery shows full even though its not", I could say that the problem has something to do with the electrical wiring (could be the battery or loose wire).

If you're planning to reformat the device, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer. Because once you reformat it, the default program would be erased.

Have a great day!
