Brother 5250DN Printer Toner light

I work in an office and we have several Brother HP 5250DL printers. A co-worker who has the same printer asked for some toner. I gave him a brand new TN-550 toner for his printer and he brought it back saying his printer just kept showing the toner error message. He decided to test the toner on my printer and the toner light came on so we placed my original toner back in the drum and the toner light is still on. I have tried truning the machine off and putting the original toner in but nothing works. Do you have any suggestions? i have brother 5250 laser printer and i want to reset its cartridge so pls give me solution

Try resetting the toner counter manually;  * Turn off the printer and open the front cover * Press and hold the Go-button down * Turn on the machine while still holding button down, when all three LEDs are lit, release Go-button * Press the Go-button twice, and all three LEDs should be lit again. * Press the Go-button five times (six times if you have the High Yield toner) * Close the front cover and the toner counter should be resetted.

HL 5250DN Toner light is on . i have new toner , but still it showing toner light on .....

In case of a simple memory glitch, power down the printer, remove the toner cartridge, carefully swing it side to side (the cartridge, not the printer!), reinsert, and power back on.
Hopefully that will do the trick.
As always, make sure your OS as well as your drivers are all up to date.

I HAVE BROTHER 2550 AFTER REFILLING PRINTERS LIGHT BLINKING OF TONER INDICATION CAN U HELP ME

I spend a lot of time with these printers at work and hate them with a passon, they are always breaking.
I have had this same thing happen to me several times and here is how to fix it. This is a fix for the Brother 5250DN.
1: Turn off power and remove toner/drum
2: Tape the little spring loaded lever just inside the printer on the upper left hand side in the *DOWN* position! Do not replace drum yet and...
3: Turn power on to printer and let it cycle. Status/Toner lights will come on as usual.
4: Turn off printer, remove tape from lever, replace drum and turn back on.

Brother HL-5250DN Laser Printer TONER LIGHT ON & NO PRIN PAGE

When the toner light is on this means the toner is empty and needs to be replaced before it can print again. Replace the toner and you will be able to print again.

Toner indicator light stays on even though it has been changed. There are no loose parts left in form the toner cartridge used before.

I just had the same problem. We have several of these in our office, but switching toner cartridges made no difference. Then I saw this site: http://www.oasis-imaging.com/images/pdf/cart_inst/TN580.pdf

I did steps 14-16, which takes 5-10 minutes. I put the toner back in the printer, turned it on, and it works perfectly now. Give that a try!

Brother 5250DN Printer Toner light

The following worked on the 3 of our HL 5250DN printers that stopped printing for no apparent reason with both the status and toner lights on:

1: Turn off power and remove toner/drum
2: Tape the little spring loaded lever just inside the printer on the upper left hand side in the *DOWN* position! Do not replace drum yet and...
3: Turn power on to printer and let it cycle. Status/Toner lights will come on as usual.
4: Turn off printer, remove tape from lever, replace drum and turn back on.

After hours of working on one of the printers, virtually taking the entire thing apart and replacing fusers, toners and drums, I accidently stumbled onto this sequence. When I tried it on the other 2 printers, Voila! Took like 1 minute each. It must cause some kind of reset of the toner detection switch.
