NO REC message on DMR-EH50 when push rec button

I have been told that panasonic now have a faster speed disc on sale to suit the newer dvd recorders that dmr-e55 cannot record on as they are too fast. You have to buy the slower speed ram discs to suit the dmr-e55.

IR number setting may have changed

goto setup > remote control code > check #

SOURCE: DVD Recorder Screen keeps saying HOLD and not switching on

CHILD LOCK:

The Child Lock Deactivates All Buttons On The Unit & Remote Control.

To Deactivate Press & Hold (OK) & (RETURN) Simultaneously Until "X HOLD" Disappears.

Make sure remote is set to unit code ex: press enter and 1 at same time see if this matches try enter and 2 or enter and 3 see if this matches and works
