Put batteries in turned it on and the car wont move

need to know what it does when you turn it over does it at all make a sound what? need info do the gauges moves if there are gauges, does interior lights come on is there power at all, does it click, are the battery cables securly tight, is it in park try taking out of park, then putting it back in park, need details.

Try this-remove the battery and plug, then push and hold the power button for 30 seconds. This should reset the power.

GM have a issue with this in most cases just put the battery on the charger, once the battery comes up it will release your key.

Yes, this sounds like a near dead battery or a bad battery connection. Turn the head lights on and see if they dim when you crank the engine if so, it is a bad battery or a bad battery connection. Try moving the battery clamps, if they are loose remove clean and insatall properly.

If its a manual trans put it in a high gear rock it back and forward you should see the engine turning if its automatic then put a socket with a long bar on the large nut on the crankshaft pully try turning the engine with it if it turns keep turning until the you get it one full turn if it wont turn one way try the other way. If it wont move at all the engine is most likely seized if it moves there is a few things can cause this. First check the timing belt or chain is not broken or slipped. It may have dropped a valve to check remove the rocker cover and check the valves are ok. Get back to me when you have tried this and you still have the problem I will try to help further. Cheers

--> take care power cable out
--> put the battery in
--> turn it on
--> and it will work (try to move the lid up and down)
if not
--> charge the battery dont turn it on
--> when its full take of the power cable
--> wait for 30 sec
--> turn it on
--> it will work ((try to move the lid up and down)
if not
--> charge the battery
--> keep the power cable
--> turn it on
--> it will work (try to move the lid up and down)

Timing belt broke. Open the oil fill cap and crank, if you don't see the valve lifters moving, then the timing belt has definately broken.

Sound like a bad battery, The battery wont hold a charge, needs to be replaced. good Luck

the battery is dead, it's as simple as that. the battery only needs a tiny bit of power to turn on the interior lights and panel lights, but it does not have enough to dis-engage park lock out electric solenoid.

I went to another problem, knowing my camera was stepped on, I messed around with moving the lens part around, barley moving it, and then I tried holding the on/off button and the button to take the pics with, and then put in new batteries and it turned on. I would suggest doing that.
