2003 Nissan Maxima. I have a 2003 Maxima that has started sometimes missing while driving on the highway and has shut off once. The check engine light never came on. What could this be please?

The first thing I would check is the spark plugs for condition and gap. That could be the misfire. Shutting off is a whole new mystery. Misfires would normally trip a P0300 code, whereas cutting off wouldn't necessarily do so. I would check for codes and historical data anyway.

Where are the o2 sensors located on a 2003 nissan

Modern car engine control systems rely on input from several sensors to regulate the engine's performance as well as its emissions and other vital functions. When these sensors fail to provide accurate information, the driver may experience increased fuel consumption, driveability problems, emission failures, and other problems. One of the most important sensors in modern cars is the oxygen sensor. Also known as the O2 sensor because O2 is the chemical formula for oxygen, the oxygen sensor monitors how much-unburned oxygen is present in the exhaust as the exhaust exits the engine. By monitoring oxygen levels, the sensor provides a means of measuring fuel mixture. https://mailordertuner.com/blogs/news/02-sensors-and-why-they-are-important

check the fuses- some car makes uses individual fuses per side. Just saw that in a mitsubishi- I believe Nissan does that too. Those fuses are probably under your hood.

Would my engine light come on a 03 Nissan maxim a if I needed a crankshaft seal

Unlikely a leaky oil seal would trigger a fault code although the oil might contaminate electronics and do so though I think it is unlikely. I think you should look elsewhere for the performance problem.

2003 Nissan Maxima rims and the offset

Keep shopping! Off set is basically how far the wheel sticks out of the wheel arch. It is measured in millimetres. + or positive offsetting means the wheels stick further out, wheels are wider apart. You are safer looking for another set of rims at +40. The wheels stick out too far you can damage axles, wheel bearings and wheel nuts. (£££ $$$ OUCH!!).

Engine hesitation

When is the last time the engine had a tune up with new spark plugs and an inspection of the ignition coils? Ignition coils were a pretty common issue with the V6 engine around that model year.

I have a 2003 Nissan Maxima SE. Occasionally, the ABS activates during times where conditions don't warrant. Sometimes downhill, coming to a stop on flat, dry surfaces, etc. No real pattern.

Broken/damaged wiring, most likely at one of the front wheels. 90% chance broken wire. 5% chance ABS unit. 5% chance pickup sensor at one of the wheels. Plug it into a scanner and check feed at every wheel while flexing and pulling on the ABS wiring at each wheel.

My mechanic has just replaced all my spark plugs on my 2003 Maximasi, now he is telling me that i need to replace all 6 coils, is this nescary ?Regards Terry

get a new mechanic who knows what he is doing plugs for ECM controlled engines very seldom need changing ( most will last for 5 years or platinum plugs will last a life time ) --- nissan , toyota , mitsubishi and other cars with v 6 engines where it is almost impossible to replace the rear plugs all use platinum plugs for those plugs as they are never replaced -- if you need 6 coil packs then the engine would not be running best find an accredited service shop with experience on your vehicle , have the codes read and have the problem fixed properly with fault code storage in the ECM, repair by replacement is not an option but a total waste of money
