Saeco Royal Professional capuccino maker brew unit assembly issue

I took out the dreg drawer and brew unit to clean it, following the manual's instructions to do so. To reassemble, it simply says "Assemble brew unit and slide in. In doing this do NOT pres position PRESS!"

Ok, I've done that, taken care not to press the PRESS button. But the brew unit doesn't seem to slide in all the way, and the front panel says "brew unit missing". Advice?

Try this, check brew unit on it you will see a small arrow, this has to be pointing at the letter N, whisch is near the handle. Remove the drain tray and dreg tray, check the rails for the brew unit make sure there is no coffee on it, then slide unit in place.

I have the same model and what you have to do is trick the machine that the catching tray is installed and open the door and with a screw driver trick it like the door is closed. This will make the gear turn a few times and you will have to keep going little by little until the gear aligns with the brew unit. My brew unit is back in but no luck with the message going away. I am pretty upset.

My Saeco Royal displays Dreg Drawer full after about 3-4 cups of coffee. i have cleaned the drawer. where do i find the Dreg drawer sensor to clean it.

hi,
this is normal as there is no switch or sensor. In fact the Royal as well as the Magic and others are counting the number of coffees that you have made between two removals of the dreg drawer. For this counter to reset, you have to remove the dreg drawer while the machine is ON, and remove it for about 10s minimum.
Retry and tell me if it is better.
Hope that helps,
M.

I have a Saeo Incanto Tondo S Class coffee maker. It grinds coffe bean but coffe is not coming out. There is no water in dregs but only grined coffe powder. I can get steam and hot water and I do not find...

Hello Saaddition,

I understand that your coffee maker is not producing coffee. However, it is operating normal in all other respects. This is usually a common problem when the machine needs to be descaled. You may also need to clean the brew unit. Here is the link to the manual for you Saeco Incanto Rondo C class coffee machine it give you all of the directions to clean and descale.

One other question did you remove the dregs drawer with the machine off. If you did you will need to do cleaning to reset the machine as removing the dregs drawer with the machine off will not allow it to brew coffee.

I have a Saeco Odea Go and my puck in the dreg drawer are really wet and I have water leaking (brown so with coffee) under the dreg drawer. how I can fix it ?

I recently had this problem. I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount.

Saeco Odea: The brew group is jammed possibly due to incorrect insertion? Cannot insert dregs draw and cannot remove the brew group.

I had the same problem. I got around it by inserting just the grounds container (which sits inside the dregs drawer) and powering the machine on. Then the machine reset itself to the home position. It wouldn't do this with the dregs drawer removed, but putting in just the grounds container fooled it into thinking the dregs drawer was inserted. Hope this helps. JRP

Machine won't work due to dreg drawer

Check to see if your machine has an "exit chute" or similar area where from the used pucks are ejected. The area might be clogged with used coffee grinds and causing a false reading from the machine.

Continually have message saying dreg drawer is missing but dreg drawer is in place

Remove drawer and clean coffee grounds behind it, there might be something keeping it from reaching the microswitch.

Waret Pucks

Hi There are 2 problems that can cause a watery puck. 1. Like EsWorld said, If the grinds is too coarse it leaves room for more water and you get a watery puck. 2. But if your grind is like a grain of salt, the you don't have enough coffee going into the brew unit, and this leaves room for extra water. To fix this, there is a lever on the top center of the door. The lever will increase the dose if pushed towards the back. DON'T push the lever to the full back position. This could cause an over charge, which could cause the brew unit to dump the ground coffee with out making because it could not compress the charge, or it could break the brew drive. 1 click back from the full plus is fine and will give a great shot.
