When power is on the speakers are producing a buz but when a jack is plugged to any audio device no sound comes out from the sub and the satelite speakers
The good news is that the system is getting power so that section is fine. The not so good news is that the audio section of the circuit board is broken, which can be hundreds of components. So if the system is out of warranty, take a screwdriver and take out the board from the enclosure. Now examine the component side for loose component leads and then on the solder side for loose joints. Next make checks with a multi-meter continuity test between the solder and the copper print for loosened solder. Almost certainly it will be the case of loose solder joint of a transistor/component due to prolonged EXTREME VIBRATION inside the enclosure. Just put your fingers on a working sub woofer to get a sense of the vibration.
So hopefully once certain doubtful solder joints have been identified, just re-solder those points. A few pokes with the soldering iron can do wonders and bring the system back to life.
Also wax up the suspected components so that they don't start swinging again to the beat and get thrown out of the circuit.
SOURCE: Subwoofer crakling sound when playing anything.
there are 2 possibalites
1) sound system does might not be supporting the volume that you want
2) The speaker coil might have become weak so it might be making cracking sound
SOURCE: the adapter is becoming warm, but the speaker
The last point is the most important -- the speaker light is not glowing. That means it's not getting power, and nothing else is going to work.
If you have access to a multimeter (voltmeter) you can test the adaptor to see if it's producing the power that is on the label. That would help you figure out if the problem is the adaptor or inside the speaker.
If you bought it retail, I'd suggest taking it back. I can't say for sure where the defect is, but "I plug it in and it doesn't turn on" is a sure-fire indicaor that it's defective.

SOURCE: No Sound from External Speakers....only from Headset plug.
Hi, had same problem.... unscrew the remote and carefully remove the back end part of the stereo-connector (very careful !) it consists of a very small switch which moves sideways..... this switch is stuck into headphone-modus. Reassemble and it will work again
Note that speakers will work if you remove the switch
Testimonial: "Super info you've given...Thanks. Was going to replace it, but your suggestion is even better. Do you have to remove the switch to remove the casing?"
SOURCE: My speakers won't make a sound.
Process of elimination... check your cable hookup first. then control panel and check sound, right click on properties tab and do a diagnostic.
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if it
have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps
