Creative Labs Inspire 4400 Computer Speakers Questions & Answers
I need creative inspire 4.1 4400 driver for asus p6t se
That motherboard uses a realtek chip for sound.
There is no driver needed for the speaker you have. It's either the speaker itself is faulty or problems with the sound card. Test your speakers with a different audio source such as a portable CD player.
My sub on my creative 4400 4.1 system will not
1 see weather the Jack is connected to the proper socket.
2 If OK then try the Sub with another computer to find out weather it is in working condition.
3 If OK then check the sound software and se correctly configured.
How to work my creative inspire 4.1 without volume control
It is possible. you can connect directly with male to male stereo cable. But careful with Volume, you must lower the volume in the playing device first.
The best alternative is
1. buy the cheap headphone with volume control or use Used old ones
2. Cut the Headphone Side and Solder the Stereo Male jack and plug it and Enjoy!
The system is getting power but no sound is coming out when plugged to any audio device
The good news is that the system is getting power so that section is fine. The not so good news is that the audio section of the circuit board is broken, which can be hundreds of components. So if the system is out of warranty, take a screwdriver and take out the board from the enclosure. Now examine the component side for loose component leads and then on the solder side for loose joints. Next make checks with a multi-meter continuity test between the solder and the copper print for loosened solder. Almost certainly it will be the case of loose solder joint of a transistor/component due to prolonged EXTREME VIBRATION inside the enclosure. Just put your fingers on a working sub woofer to get a sense of the vibration.
So hopefully once certain doubtful solder joints have been identified, just re-solder those points. A few pokes with the soldering iron can do wonders and bring the system back to life.
Also wax up the suspected components so that they don't start swinging again to the beat and get thrown out of the circuit.
