Fridge lights flashing on and off, and inadequate cooling

Fridge power light and internal light keeps flashing on and off every second, and internal temperature is not as cold as usual. The compressor is usually not running, but when it tries to start it also stops and starts 2-3 times in sync with the flashing lights. Sometimes though it starts first time and then seems OK, but in general its not running long enough to get a chance to cool everything sufficiently.

Internal light remains ON after we had a power outage, fridge compressor works for 2 minutes, then the fridge gives beeping sound, compressor stops. The compressor starts again when we off the power and ON it again, the same beep sound repeats after 2 minutes. we tested the door switch , its okay. Then what could be the problem and the solution.

Defy fridge freezer G91641N panel , lights, keep flashing

When the panel lights on your Defy fridge freezer are flashing, it usually indicates an error or a specific condition that needs attention. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power Reset: Start by performing a power reset to see if it resolves the flashing lights issue. Turn off the fridge freezer at the main power supply or unplug it from the electrical outlet. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, and then plug it back in or switch on the main power supply. Check if the lights continue to flash.
  2. Check Error Codes: Consult the user manual or documentation for your Defy fridge freezer to identify the meaning of the flashing lights or any error codes displayed on the panel. The manual will provide specific information on what each flashing light or error code signifies and any recommended actions to resolve the issue.
  3. Temperature Settings: Ensure that the temperature settings on the fridge and freezer compartments are set correctly. Incorrect temperature settings can sometimes trigger error codes or unusual behavior. Adjust the settings to the recommended levels and observe if the flashing lights persist.
  4. Contact Customer Support: If the flashing lights persist or you are unable to identify the issue using the manual, it's recommended to contact the Defy customer support or an authorized service center. They can provide further guidance and assistance in diagnosing and resolving the problem.

Natasha try this:
turn off the fridge's settings.
pull the power cord from the wall outlet
open the doors and keep them so for a few hours.
before these, take out the most perishable and keep in cool place.
after a few hours you may see a puddle of water under the fridge. clean the water and vaccum the fridge underneath and behind.
now reconnect power and set at recommended level. goodluck!
