Connect bauhn tv to phillips dvd player

The tv should have several hdmi sockets. If Phillips DVD has hdmi use that. If Phillips is old then you will have to connect it with the yellow, red and white outputs to the corresponding on tv.
To play you will have to push input button on remote and select AV.

Created and burned a DVD with imac (iDVD) software. Plays fine on computer, but music skips when I play on Zenith DVD Player. Tried burning at slower speed, but same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks.

The Audio file may not be supported on the DVD player, or try another disk in the DVD player (another movie) see if the sound still skips

you could check the red and white audio cables (or HDMI if you have it) make sure they are not loose or disconnected

Video freezes playing burnt dvd from computer on a dvd player

dvd players are finiky things they do not like burnt dvd's at all and some will just lock up computers on the other hand can handel those because burnt dvd's are in a coding format that computers can read much easier than a dvd player your best bet is to just buy the dvd non burned and see if that fixes it. good luck and If you ever need anymore help with electronics questions pleases dont hesitate to ask me at [email protected]

Asking for a password

I had the password problem with the Phillips DVP-5140. I looked up the user manual on the Phillips website and searched for "password". There is a manufacturer default password of 136900. I entered that number and was then able to play the DVD. The password may be different for other models, but you can find the default in the user manual for your specific model.

D VD

The problem you are having is the DVD player. Not all DVD players will play a burned DVD. Some set top DVD players are know for being very picky about what type of DVD's they will play, and Phillips is very bad about this.

If you have the owners manual for the DVD player, look inside and see what type of disc's are playable. if it should play them DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R. DVD+RW should all be listed.

Right now about 80% of DVD players do not play burned DVD's

In time they all will play them, but for some unknownn reason, some are still made without this ability.

Also, not all DVD-R's are created equal.

The best quality of DVD's to buy for burning are Taiyo Yuden. But Sony, memorex, and Maxell are also pretty good.

One way to be certain about the quality of the burned DVD's is to take one to a friends house or anybody you know who has a set top DVD player and see if it plays in their DVD player.

That will at least tell you if the DVD's you are burning are at fault or not. But my guess is that you r Phillips is the culprit here.

I hope this was helpful to you, if so a good rating would really be appreciated.

I have been buring DVD's since they started selling them for the PC. compatibility has been the only problem I have had.
My sony DVD player plays everything I throw at it.

DVD player recorder won't read or play any disc

This just worked for me. Don't know how long it will last though. I found it on this webpage
http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/15118/130292.html

To do a reset:
On the remote control press the SETUP button,
Press the right key on the remote 3 times,
The Preference page will show up,
Press the down arrow five time to highlight
"default", hit right arrow to highlight "reset"
Press enter to reset. Turn off/on machine, etc.
