Yamaha S796 DVD Region Unlock code

Once unlocked, is OK, forever. on all regions.

Hello there.

To region unlock your Playstation 2 console you need an unlock DVD. Something like http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation2/4-/94716/-/Product.html

Open Tray
Place different zone DVD into player tray
Press 99990
Press Play
Presto, it worked like a charm!

If you have the LG DV 480 then try these steps
1 Turn the DVD player and open the disc draw, leave it empty
2 Press Pause
3 Type 0000
4 When the blue screen appears type "0" in the new region code
5 Press Pause
6 Power off the DVD player then turn it back on
It worked for me

I bought today a Philips HTS 8140 region 4 and i use this solution

1. Abrir a bandeja do aparelho / Open the tray

2. Aperte a tecla DISC / Press DISC buton

3. Digite o código 99990 / Insert 99990 code

4. Feche a bandeja / Close the tray

The region code can only be changed 4 times and it locks on the 4th change.
There may be a firmware upgrade that make your DVD region free, but if you make a mistake or install the wrong firmware upgrade then the DVD will be a piece of junk. You will need to Google search for DVD firmware upgrades for your model DVD.
The best way to view DVDs from other regions is to install a piece of software that defeats the region code. I use a program called DVD-RegionFree from
www.dvdidle.com
There are possibly other programs available, again Google search for them.

try 2 steps 
1--
Hack is the same as the DVP 3960 

Press "Setup" 
Scroll to "Preference page" using the Left/Right arrow key 
Press "138931" and a popup screen will appear 
Use the Up arrow key and select 0 for a region free DVD player 
Done.

2--
Get her up and running. 

Press "Setup" on remote control. 

Scroll to "Preference" using the right arrow button on your remote. 

Press "138931" and a menu will appear. 

Use the Up arrow key and select "0".

Eject disc. While open press 99990. Thats it.

1. Power on
2. Press PLAY
3. Enter 2, 7, 4
4. Enter 222 222 005 255
5. Press PLAY
6. Power off

I have tried to unlock the DVD DP271 player using following methods, But it is not unlocking. If any body knows any other code. Please help me to un lock my DVD DP271 player.

1. Power up and press setup
2 Scroll down to LOCK
3 Press '0' (zero) seven times
4. A message may now appear with saying that the player is region free.
5. Power down then power up.

or

1. Remove any discs and power up the DVD
2. Press PAUSE
3. Enter 314159
4. The hidden region code menu may now appear.
5. Set code you want- 0 for multiregion, 1 for region 1 and so on
6. Press PAUSE
7. Power down then power up
