How to format the Hard drive without a recovery Disk?

What you are saying is like "how to listen to Bryan Adams' music on your PC without having a PC". You are gonna need atleast a OEM edition of the operating system if you want to re-install. The OEM version costs about 40 bucks on stores like ebay and Amazon.

Where I can buy system recovery cd And application recovery cd for Sony VAIO PCV-MXS20 PC Desktop? I don't no computer to much . thank you.

I had a similar issue with a Sony Vaio Laptop recently and through accidental experimentation I found the system Sony system recovery utility. i was shooting for F8 to start Windows in safe mode and I believe I hit F9 by accident. I then discovered this whole menu of Sony recovery options from reinstalling individual software programs that were originally included to restoring the hard disk to the original shipped state. The latter included all original installed software and fresh out of the box Windows. I eventually did this and it did not require any recovery CD, just some time and a few clicks as it worked off of a hidden partition on the disk. I don't know if your desktop has the same stuff, but if it is fairly new, I am sure it does and you may have to scour the Sony support site or e-mail them to find the specifics for your unit.

Good Luck

PS. It did exactly what it claimed, restored to original state completely, but erased anything installed or saved since day 1.

System recovery disc for sony vaio moddel no. pcg-grz610

I don't have PCG-GRZ610 laptop so i can't sent you the CD, but i can give you one other solution: Install your new harddrive with any CD of Windows XP Professional, enter the key number with your XP CDKEY (look of the bottom of your laptop!), then install drivers and applications which you can download them at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=PCGGRZ610, active your Windows if it ask--over the internet, after that--just for backup--you can make your new OS a image with cloning/backup image software as Symantec Norton Ghost etc. GoodLuck.

Need to recover the computer, back to factoru settings

Call sony, the disk is 12 bucks. I had this problem after my hard drive crashed. Be careful though, because I replaced the hard drive and it would not recognize the disk after that. Sony wanted me to pay 100 dollars to fix it.
