SOURCE: ddc/ci disable enable

Best and by far easiest method would be to make use of "System Restore". Simply restore your computer to an earlier time - you want to restore the system to a time as close to the current date as possible but at the same time - restore it to a time/date that to your recollection, would be before this problem on your desktop occurred.

Not sure if you are familiar with system restore so here's the click path to get you there:

...from your desktop and with all programs closed:

1) click on <start>
2) point mouse to < All Programs>, <accessories>, <system tools>
3) when mouse is pointed at <system tools>, navigate mouse down
the list to where you see <system restore> and click on it.

from there, just follow the on-screen instructions and pick your restore point by the calendar that will appear.

Should solve your problem as there is a key stored in the windows registry which may be very difficult to decode otherwise.

My mointor just flashes different colors and won't turn off

If you can find a setting for DDC/DI and turn that OFF, this could solve your problem (it did for me).

Description of the setting is included below, but put simply it allows your monitor to communicate with your computer and make adjustments.

From wiki: The Display Data Channel or DDC is a collection of digital communication protocols between a computer display and a graphics adapter that enables the display to communicate its supporteddisplay modes to the adapter and to enable the computer host to adjust monitor parameters, such as brightness and contrast.

I am looking for a monitor driver for Windows Vista for LT1919

Windows XP and Vista should "auto-detect" the capabilities of this LCD screen.

If not, access http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
and scan for updates.
When the scan is done, look for "optional hardware" updates.
If Microsoft has a driver, it will be offered for download.
