Figured out how to get the front off the LG dryer and now can't find the reset button to reset it.
Unplug the dryer. Disconnect the vent hose from the wall and clear any lint etc. from the opening. Anything clogged with lint will continue to cause the heating element to "trip" for safety reasons.
Open the top by pressing in on the hidden metal clips on the right and left front (there is a small gap below the top section) Use a putty knife or screw driver to press in on the clips. Lift up like a car hood and then prop it up while you're working. Next open the dryer door. Remove the two screws on either side of the lower opening. Now lift the front up and out, set off to the left side as it is still connected by a wire. Look into the lower right side of the dryer with a flashlight. The reset button is located between the two wires that attach to the outside of the cylindrical drum at the 7 o'clock position. You need to be lying on the floor so you can reach your hand in. It is about halfway into the dryer. Press the button. Now reassemble the dryer before you start it up again. For a gas dryer - let it run and you should hear it "fire" up within a minute and the heating will begin.
Your explanation was very helpful. I have read many explanations but this one was the most specific: "The reset button is located between the 2 wires that attach to the outside of the cylindrical drum at the 7 o'clock position." If you cant find it, use these directions. I was using a mirror, flashlight, feeling all around. No luck until I read your post.
Perfect explaination!!! Was looking for an hour before I came here. Frustration level was almost a 10. Fired right up when tested. Made sure I took a good vacume to everything before I put it all back together. Thanks

You can also lay the dryer face down, unplug it and turn the gas line off. Now remove the exhaust vent and there is a single screw securing the exhaust tube to the dryer. Once that tube is removed grab a flash light and look into the hole. Using a vacuum hose or a long lint brush remove all of the lint in the cavity. Once the lint is removed look to the left and you will see the reset button located between two wires. It sort of looks like an igniter on a gas grill; press it and then replace the tube and the vent hose. Turn the gas back on stand the dryer off and plug it in. All of the excess lint clogged the sensor so the reset button tripped as a safety measure. Note you should check for lint often and repeat process as needed, as dryer lint is very flamable
This was the easiest way to access the reset button. However, the button didn't seem to do anything. No click. Nothing. It just felt loose.

If one of the two thermal fuses are blown you will not get heat. Thermal fuses blow (and are not resetable, they must be replaced) when the machine gets too hot. Often this is caused by not enough air flow through the machine. Check and make sure your exhaust vent is not clogged. Clean it the best you can to get all the lint, dead mice, bird nests, etc. out. Also make sure air is blowing out of the machine when it is turned on. If not you have a blower problem.
K There seems to be NO BREAKERS anywhere near my heat coils on my DLE2532W electric dryer. Just looks like 2 types of relays?
The fuse can be reset. With the front off, reach into the lower right with your hand. It will be cramped in there. On the lower right side of heating element you will find 2 wires going to a small breaker. There is a reset button on there that you need to press. It may take you several minutes to find this, as it's not easy the 1st time.

lg is a little more tricky to get apart, but ther are a few screws infint of the lint filter housing, as well as afew under the main lid."pop" the top by inserting a screwdirver into the clips located on either side perhaps 3 inches in or so.and then trher are a few phillips head screws that willl release the front panel,along the bottom right side is a few thermostats as well as a heater asssy, one of the thermostats have a red button protruding from betwwen the 2 wires, try pushing it in.it will reset the thermostat(its gotten too hot and "popped" for safety reasons...CHECK YOUR VENTING
