"no input" means that there is no signal from computer or the monitor cable is unplugged. When you first turn on monitor it usually does a self test and then looks for signal. Not connected to PC will give a no signal. If it is connected but PC is off (not unplugged) then it should go into standby as you vid card will be sending a standby signal to any monitor connected. Sometimes the Plug and Play monitors need to register before it will recognize a standby signal from PC, so plug it up and boot up PC. Then shutdown normally, your monitor should go into standby when the PC shuts down.

SOURCE: The monitor is on and seems to be running, have visibility prob.

George, I hope you got IT for free!! You too should find out all you can about LCD cold cathode fluorescent lamps and their electronic ballasts circuits which are called "INVERTERS" and obtain their dc voltage from the monitors "switch-mode-power-supply". If you can see an image on the screen even though it looks BLACK then you know that only half the SMPS is in SHUTDOWN mode. Why don't you try visiting YOUTUBE to search for LCD monitor Disassembly videos that are of the 8-12min long versions just FYI. also try vids of LCD repair and see if the symptoms are same as your's! Then get back to fixya and find out your options on what to do next. You may even tell us WHAT you're going to do!!! I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @ aol. com hope this helps you out a little. please rate this response at fixya. Bye for now. louie nw of Chicago.

If the monitor has two video inputs - a DVI-D and a DSub VGA then the monitor needs to be switched to the DVI-D video input.

Screens shows but then gos black

Confirm that all the input cables at the back are securely plugged at the rear of the screen and PC/output source and that the image source is switched on and displaying an image. This can be done by switching your PC on and waiting five mins. Then check that the power for the screen is on. If this does not work, then let me know

Samsung Syncmaster 2333

Check signal cables means there's no signal on input. If your PC still shows up on a different monitor then it's a time to replace a mainboard in your monitor.

Installed new 27-D01567 power supply unit in my 19" monitor L1975nw. have green light but black screen. whats next?

Is the board brand new or used? You will need to verify the voltage (12~18vdc) feeding the inverter circuits, there is also a surface mounted fuse.

Monitor will appear to come on a "no signal" sign flashes up then the screen goes black. If you press the on off swich the green light will come on briefly then go to orange and then disappears completely...

could be a number of possibilities, lcd backlight is going bad, bad capacitors on the power board, lcd cable needs to be reseated, power board needs to be replaced. Best possibility would be to take it to a repair shop and see what the costs would run to fix it.

If its more then the cost of a new monitor then get a new monitor cause you would get the warranty.
