Hi,

I am confused as to what issue you are having, this unit is a micro combo and which unit are you having issues with? Micro has a handle for a door release and oven has a pull door handle. Please get back to me with more information so I can assist you.
Also Model number is KEMS376 ------- starts with S or T

Can you remove the microwave separately without removing the complete oven/microwave unit? KEMS307DWH4 KitchenAid Wall Oven/Microwave combo unit

Hello Richard;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician.

Your microwave is in a separate housing than your oven. You need to remove the border stripping holding the micro wave in the wall, then lift up in the front and pull out.

Go into the following website, put in your model number which is on a label after you open the microwave door.

You did not tell me what the problem is. Please advise so I can help you further.

How do I fix the door lever in order to open the oven

If you cannot get something in to release the lever then you will have to take the whole thing apart. I have to believe that if you remove the cabinet to the unit you will be able to release the door.

Whirlpool microwave GH7145XFseems to have shorted out. Is there a circuit breaker somewhere on the oven itself that can be reset? History: Trying to turn off the oven light when the door was open, I...

There should be a line fuse inside, and a less likely culprit would be the oven cavity thermostat.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

mini_manual_behind_grille_small.jpgAt our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

If you don't find your mini-manual, or if you want to look at it before removing the controller, you can download it here (just enter your full model number without dashes).

Accessing the oven cavity thermostat for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall and take off the outer cover.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Whirlpool owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

If both of those components are bad, it may be a damaged control circuit board.

We can repair that for $39.95 in most cases, or you can buy a new "microcomputer" circuit board (part number 8169379) here for $146.66.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

No power in the microwave. It is as if you unplugged it. Is there an internal fuse in the unit? There is power to the unit. The unit shows nothing on the panel and when you open the door, no light comes...

If you look at the back of the oven there are usually small fuses or breakers back there. Check to see if that is the issue. Also if you haven't already make sure the wall outlet is functional.

Microwave oven not working

That model number looks a bit off. I'd say it's one of these:

MHE14XMB1
MHE14XMD1
MHE14XMQ1

But for a part like this, any of the above should be the same.

There are two oven cavity thermostats in this model, which essentially act as flame sensors.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

If you don't find yours, or if you want to look at it without disassembling the oven, you can download it here. (Try searching without suffix if you get no hits).

Accessing some components (especially the oven cavity thermostat) for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall and take off the outer cover.

GE Spacemaker door was jammed to far opened - now it does not work

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order any needed parts by entering your full model number here.

You will need to look it over to see if anything in the door / hinge area got damaged. If so, those damaged parts will need to be replaced.

In some cases with over the range models, you will have to remove the oven from the wall and take off the outer cover to see everything.

Microwave problems. (its "sharp" brand but im not sure of the model #)

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

This can be caused by slamming the door or by habitually opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

You can find an exploded view by entering your FULL model number here: http://www3.sears.com (the 3 is correct)

Home Circuit Breaker Pops When Door Is Opened

It does sound odd for it to blow the breaker. It should blow the fuse, not the breaker. But looking at the exploded view diagram, I don't even see a fuse! Makes me wonder if this is some foreign model. *grin* In any event, you will need to replace all the door switches since they all have been stressed by the same overcurrent. Also be sure that all the switch mount and door latch parts are activating properly when you open and close the door. The switches (generic replacements) are widely available from local appliance parts stores. If you need any other parts, you can see an exploded view and parts list here: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/
