My Samsung soundbar HT-X810 works for anywhere from a 1/2hr to 2 hrs and then shuts itself off, if I can get it back on again, it'll only stay on for a few seconds to a few minutes.

SOURCE: i have a samsung ht-tx75 and it keeps shutting

Protection is very likely caused by an over heat condition, even with the fan working if the receiver is in a very enclosed place that warms up and is not ventilated it will cause the problem. The solution is to provide more ventilation so that the receiver can cool itself properly.

SOURCE: SYSTEM SHUTTING OFF

I had the same problem and of course my system is out of warranty. If you open the system up most likely you will see portions of a board near the fan burned up.

SOURCE: my dvd home theatre system ht tx75 keeps shutting down

protection error message means that your unit's fan is not working

it is a feature to keep your unit from overheating

check if there is anything blocking the fan of your unit from rotating

if problem still persist replace the fan

My Sony soundbar shut off while dusting hts200f. Who do I get it working again

Sounds like you accidentally pressed the power button while you were dusting and turned it off. You just need to turn the HT-S200F back on.
It's the 1st button on the left of the control panel, which is located on top of the soundbar, in it's center. .

Our soundbar Samsung HT-WS1 only stays on for 15 minutes and shuts off. What would the problem be?

i have a ht-ws1 my neighbor gave me with the complaint it turns itself off and on. After removing the back the problem goes away so using a hair dryer i find it is an overheating issue. The power IC's right behind the buttion on the bskc are the culprit. I am rigging up a cooling fan to solve the problem

Unclock code for HT-X810R

Hi there, this code should allow you to unlock your HT-X810. I'm not sure about the HT-X810R specifically, but its worth a shot, let me know if you need any further assistance,

First, turn on the X810 without any disc in the player.
Next, press [Enter][8][4][2][6][9][Enter]

My Samsung HT-40 home theater system throws itself into protection mode and shuts down. I put a new fan motor in but it insists on shutting down anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes of operation. No dust...

The fan is going bad and if you have replaced it try to open the case and remove the cover over all the capaciters and what not and replace that fan in the back then cut a hole in the top of the metal case directly about the cap's that warm up and install a aditional fan to act as a chimney a little noisy but i did this and the player had been runing in aux and radio mode for a few days stright now no problems at all it's alot of work and skill but for 2 5-15 dolar fans sure beats the 160 for repair or buying a new recever! make sure u turn on the recever for 10 min if the fan is not turning by then its still not good

Have a HT-X810 Samsung soundbar but cannot get any signal to the TV from the HDMI for playing DVD's. Works ok with scart but nothing out of the HDMI. Second unit this has happened on - am I doing something...

Dear rayoneill,
I just got an HT-X810 and hooked it up to my TV and had the same problem. I suggest that you ensure that you've selected the proper device input on your TV. My TV has a couple HDMI ports, in addition to a host of other connection choices, and I found that I was selecting the wrong HDMI input for viewing a dvd. Alternatively, when I was looking for an HDMI cable to hook up my unit I came across many chats/discussions/reviews that noted the properties of HDMI cables. The consensus among the discussants was that an HDMI cable either works or it doesn't - meaning that if there is a problem with the cable, you don't get a degraded image and sound you get nothing. Things that may lead to this include a loose connection or perhaps, and there was some disagreement among commentators on this, a poorly manufactured HDMI cable. Many claimed that due to the nature of digital signal transmissions, all HDMI cables are created equal so quality doesn't matter. However, when I was reading product reviews for cables available on amazon.com, many people were very critical of the cheap cables' performance. At the same time, most everyone seemed to agree that expensive 'Monster' cables were a waste of money. I settled on a $10 HDMI cable and haven't had any problems.
Good Luck, Justin

TV just shuts itself off after 1/2 hr to 2 hrs ...

resolder the horizontal driver transformer and all of the coils that start with "L77xx" on the left side of the sweep board, there is also a jumper staple just above L7711 that must be soldered it does not have a designation number but you`ll see the solder is bad on one end, very common issue with your model.
