You need to replace the bell, also check those roller underneath of the drum are freely turn. It is quite hard to take off the front door of LG dryer, if you not a handy person, call for service. If you want to try let me know, I will guide you to open it.

SOURCE: dryer drys drum turns , but it makes this banging

THERE ARE TWO ROLLERS ON THE FRONT OF THE DRYER THAT KEEP THE DRUM IN PLACE, IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE ONE OF THE ROLLERS IS GOING BAD OR HAS A FLAT SPOT IF THE BANG SOUND IS CONSTANT AND STEADY THIS IS THE PROBLEM. EASY FIX YOU CAN ORDER THE ROLLERS ONLINE

SOURCE: LG Tromm dryer now takes two cycles to dry a load

The problem with the LG tromm dryers are seemingly two fold.
1. The dryer stops heating and drying the cloths. I found out AFTER HAVING IT SERVICED TWICE AND WAITING A MONTH FOR A NON ESSENTIAL PART. The problem turned out to be the dryer vent going from the wall to the outside was severly clogged. Once this was corrected the dryer worked great.

2. The second issue probably is a design issue in that a large amount of lint seems to get by the lint filter and ends up in the vent that the dryer is connected to and goes out side the house. In my case I have a long dryer vent imbeded into the wall to the exterior, in a shorter vent this probably wouldn't be an issue.

SOURCE: cracked drum lg tromm dle2512w

I'd say yes, especially if you replace it yourself to avoid a service call. Top needs to come off (screws at back, then push top back 2 inches and lift off), remove front, remove 4 screws holding front bulk head / front rollers, slip belt off tension pulley, remove drum, reverse to install.

SOURCE: My LG TROMM Dryer is not heating up and it takes

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

If everything else in the dryer is working fine and it won't heat so it means that the thermal fuse which is located inside the rear panel on the blower wheel housing is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a LG Electric Dryer DLE5932W. When I run it on any of the settings in sensor dry the dryer turns off before the clothes are dry and you have to run it multiple times to get a load dry. Then if you...

this could be operator error please hear me out...... when wash bath towels you also put in wash cloths and hand towels .... there is a sensor in dryer drum shroud in front of lint filter to metal silver strips when the clothes are tumbling they sweep across this sensor telling the dryer heat to stay on and continue to dry.... if th small wash cloth sweeps it first before the bath towel then u get the same results as your describing just like if you were waqshing colors load like cotton tshirt and blue jeans the tshirt is going to dry way faster than blue jeans so if the tshirt sweeps that sensor first the dryer going to shut off we have to sort our clothes to thickness ans same size articles just try it once i bet your clothes are dry when cycle completes

My LG TROMM DLE7177 on heating cycle finish much quicker

First off, unless you are using the manual dry (timed dry) option, the times listed are strickly an estimate. At the begining of a cycle, the dryer has no idea how big a load you have, how wet it is, and how good your vent is. In your situation, I would clean off the two silver colored moisture sensor bars, located just inside the drum, by the right side of the lint filter area. They are curved, about 5 inches long, and about an inch apart. If you use fabric softener sheets, they can aquire a waxy build up, which inhibits them from detecting that the clothes are still too wet.

My lg tromm DLG3788W gas dryer is not heating, it says check filter. other wise it works fine. where is the filter at, i know the one where i open the door and clean the vent everytime i use it. thanks

I just cleaned those sensors at the bottom of the filter, it worked like a charm. The dryer is now drying perfectly, I did not know you were not supposed to use fabric sheets with this dryer. Now I know, Thank you for the good information.

LG TROMM DRYER DLE5977 Burning Smell

It is a POS dryer, we have the same one. My suggestion get another dryer. We vacuumed it all out (don't you have a problem with the lint catcher?) Then it started loud pounding noise, which a lot of people seem to have the same problem, then our sensor went out and we had to dry the clothes 5-10 x's...now crack in stainless steel drum and is chewing up all our expensive clothes!

Clothes smell......

The following are the methods you can avoid odor in clothes after washing.
  • Check that the drain line is clear
  • Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages
  • Check pump for blockages
  • Check for build up of soap in the outer tub
Good luck. Please do post comments if the problem is still not solved or if there are any doubts in this post.
