    I have a LCD.

  • sheryllehman Apr 24, 2009

What if it is a projection TV, I was told this was a LCD. Could they be wrong? And if it is projection and not LCD, does a green screen with no picture or sound have a different solution?

In LCD TV such problems occur due to problems in the circuit board. So no option for you to go for repair to your branded company authorized personnal.

Sony LCD 52 inch

This sound like you are having problems with the power supply board. Since you are getting a momentary picture and sound the fuses are good but TVs today have "shorts" and "overvoltage" circuitry build in that will shut it down on errors. Someone knowledgeable in electronics will have to isolate the exact cause.

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
