Have you tried to replace the breaker? if so, is it the right size and amperage rating and is the whole thing grounded properly?

Coleman pm1500 started it up plugged in extension cord to much load killed motor now getting no fire from engine

It sounds like your Coleman PM1500 generator may have experienced a serious issue due to overloading, which may have caused damage to the engine or electrical system. To troubleshoot the issue and restore power to the engine, you may want to try the following steps:
  1. Check the oil level and fuel level: Make sure that the oil level in the engine is sufficient and that the fuel tank is not empty.
  2. Check for any visible signs of damage: Check the generator's components, including the engine, spark plug, and electrical system, for any visible signs of damage or wear.
  3. Test the spark plug: Remove the spark plug and inspect it for damage or fouling. If it appears to be damaged or fouled, replace it with a new one.
  4. Check the electrical system: Use a multimeter to check the voltage output of the generator's electrical system. If the voltage is low or non-existent, there may be an issue with the generator's alternator or voltage regulator.
If you are unable to diagnose and fix the issue yourself, it may be best to take the generator to a qualified repair technician who can help you identify and address the problem.

I bought A brand new GENERAC GP6500 portable generator and it will only run for about 5-10 seconds before it stalls out.

Hi,

Please make sure that you're running the generator outside and that you've placed it in a position that's recommended by the manufacturer. I'm thinking that there is a safety protection (shutdown) being triggered by your generator because something is not setup properly.

Please call Generac for clarification on the issue: (678) 885-9751. Thank you.

The engine starts but it doesn't generate electricity

The engine turns over the generator. We often think of a generator as one thing, but actually it is made of two parts. A motor to to supply mechanical power and the generator (a devices with electrical coils and magnets) that if turned will create electrical energy.
Since the engine is turning over, either the engine shaft that spins the generator is broken or a connector coupling is broken, or more likely the the generator portion of your generator is broken inside. Internal wires could be burned up or contact brushes are worn out. It sounds like your generator side is defunct. For inexpensive home emergency generators, it is usually cheaper to buy another generator rather than try to repair the generator you have.

Generator starts then immediately sends stop signal

Remove all load from the generator and see if it will run.
This will tell you if you have a generator problem or you have plugged too much into it.
I start my small generator and then connect the things I want to power.

Yamaha 2400IS Generator goes to overload when ie: 240 volt plugged in, or 700 watt angle grinder plugged in.

No idea but somebody else will probably come along with a better idea then mine, seems a lot of these generators have this thing installed on them (Has $25 hard start kit). Not sure what it does or how it works. Strangely enough you said you use it for 240 volt. Looked at the picture and didn't see a 240 volt connection.
If you are using the what look like the 120 volt circuits you can't over load the unit. Maximum current draw will cause it to go into protection mode and shut down the power load. The following is an exert from the owners manual which I got from Yamaha's site. Link at the end of this post.

Hope this helps

Overload indicator light
The overload indicator light
1
comes on when an over-
load of a connected electrical device is detected, the
inverter control unit overheats, or the AC output voltage
rises. The electronic breaker will then activate, stopping
power generation in order to protect the generator and
any connected electric devices. The AC pilot light
(green) will go off and the overload indicator light (red)
will stay on, but the engine will not stop running.
When the overload indicator light comes on and power
generation stops, proceed as follows:
1. Turn off any connected electric devices and stop
the engine.
2. Reduce the total wattage of connected electric
devices within the application range.
3. Check for blockages in the cooling air inlet and
around the control unit. If any blockages are found,
remove.
4. After checking, restart the engine.

I bounced the "H" out of my generator. When i plug something in it goes straight into overload and quits.

You may have knocked something loose inside. Take off the generator end cover and look for anything obvious. There is nothing to loose at this point.

I have generator kipor kde19sta3 when we start then generator after 1 or 2 minutes generator will automatically off and show the fault p 03 so plzzz tell me about p 03 fault thankx

Sounds like an overload on the board. Be sure you're not drawing more amperage out of the plugs on the front of the unit than is listed (typically 12.5 or 20 amps is the limit). If you try and draw more or a surge on the appliance happens during startup, you may end up having to use the 240 volt plug and direct that into a distribution panel to get the 110v unhindered by the plug limitations.

The AC Plugs on my EU 3000 Generator are not working all of a sudden... I was using it and one plug and it stopped working, so I switched to the other outlet and after a while it stopped working also.

if no power on the plugs check for the cercuit breaker fuses and check for your load why it is tripping the circuit breaker the unit sbould not be overloaded

I overloaded my powermate generator, now it won't generate electricity

Hi!

You need to change your AVR/Capacitor. (Depends on what is fitted to your generator. 2-4 wires = capacitor. 5+ wires = AVR) and you can purchase them here:

https://www.generatorguru.com/powermate/

and capacitors for other models here: https://www.generatorguru.com/capacitors/

FYI, it overloaded the Alternator Output.

Please be aware the total wattage is split between the 2 lowest voltage sockets (windings) i.e. for example a 4500 running watts generator would be 2250running watts per plug.

You also CANNOT use the 230/240v socket at the same time as any of the 110/115v/120v sockets, as this winding is used to make the higher voltage. This is the case on all generators!!

Hope this helps!
